Thank you. And I'm not even sure.. lol. A bit of everything.

This was the first drawing of its kind, iirc, that i was asked to do, and I didn't really know how to do anything, so just did.. everything.

So it's a bit of a mess, but I like the critter anyway.

I love all that heavy stippling. Reminds me very much of illustrations out of old twilight zone magazines.

HP Lovecraft.

You have a talent for creature design, really.

Maybe a nightmare, from HP Lovecraft.

Aww hey, that's so nice of you to say! The creature in the story this was drawn for was just nuts (no pun intended) and I could see it so clearly, just from the description, so D. F. Lewis must take half the credit at least. And yes, it was a mythos-oriented story.

I came and looked in bulk at your Gothic pictures since you have submitted so many all at once! This one particularly caught my eye (I hadn't noticed the testicles until I read one of the other comments). I like the colour of this one.
I think they are great drawings. I didn't know you had talent in this department. I like the gothic/horror style of them. Some have a touch of Gorey about them.

Wow, so good of you to say. Glad you like 'em. I would love to do some more art, and may, if I get the time. Most of these are over 10 years old. I didn't keep a lot of my art but most of these were published, so I didn't give them away.

I only made the testicles a lot bigger. But I'm glad you approve.

salshep In reply to Loganforever [2007-03-13 03:05:34 +0000 UTC]

Hee. It was a really strange story. D.F. Lewis writes in a heavily poetic prose kind of style, quite surreal at times. I was really pleased to get to illustrate it. Thankyou!

They're actually enormous, deformed, warty testicles.

Sounds like one hell of a ballsache. I wouldn't like to get to that situation.

Which reminds me.. I need a girlfriend..
