Oh yes, and it better not involve the "I'll kill him!" crap again! Snap out of it, Harley.
Thank you very much! Oh yes, I loved it too. It implied so much, so I am still rather hopeful for the outcome.

Oh yeah, I know what you mean. Her own friends manipulated her to believe how horrible her BF is.
Well, he uses her, alright, but he also cares about her, as much as he is possibly capable of! It just resorts to calling Harls a victim, which she really is not.
One point which really bugged me, think it was issue 6. Or... no, 5. When they went to kill the Joker (Gaggy in disguise obviously) and although Harley instantly recognised it wasn't her Joker, and thus wouldn't exactly care, Selina and Ivy TIED HER UP, thus implying they could easily kill Harley's lover right in front of her eyes! Made her watch them kill him! Now it wasn't him, but if it was... How cruel can you get, seriously? Her own friends. For her own good, yeah, sure. That'd just ruin her.

Perhaps. But ultimately, he didn't force her to anything, did he? All her choice.
Oh yes, it would. It would also probably happen simultaneously.
Harley is insane and can be very ruthless, no matter how sweet she is portrayed - imagine what could she do to her own friends if they caused her to break like that. Seriously. Ivy and Selina didn't think it through, did they.
Or worse, she'd not harm them, but herself. *shrug*
Or do a little trip to a Lazarus pit.
Oh, the imagination!

I hate cliff-hangers! Waiting desperately for the next one to come out...but I loved this part! <3 I really liked seeing her two sides. As we all know, she'd never kill her puddin. But I'm excited to see what happens.

It's a torture to wait that long again! But we'll manage... won't we.
She will probably stop from killing him at the very last moment or something. Whatever happens, I just want a proper reunion thing, with no interruptions from Red and Kitty! They don't get it, don't understand a thing!
Oh well, one can dream. <3

Exactly! So tired of them butting into that budding relationship!
I mean, what's a Harley to do if she can't be with her Puddin'!?
Red and Kitty need to just stay down on that ground for awhile. *laughs*

I have to say, I am pretty sick of the attempts to make Harey an independent villain character all by herself, or teamed up with the ladies like Red or what not. I mean, enough is enough - she was originally created for the Joker, to be with him, not just as sidekick - a mate even, an extension of himself! He created her, for golly's sake. Just let them be together, however twisted it may seem for 'normal' people.
I am almost panicking for the GCS 21 now! Please don't let them dwell into 'he is a user, manipulator and abuser and she is a victim' record again. *shakes head*
And exactly! What is her purpose when not with her Mistah J?

GothamAnarchy In reply to Saltheria [2011-02-27 06:20:37 +0000 UTC]
Oh my god, thank you! Someone who understands!
She really isn't ANYTHING without the Joker, he is what keeps her living, I feel!
It doesn't matter what happens, her love for him will never end.
It's just too intense.
I mean come on, she gave up her internship at Arkham to free him.
She threw away who she was before just to be near him.
She kills for him.
And I'm sure if he told her to, she'd slit her own throat for him.
It's simple and clean, she loves him too much to just throw away her feelings.
That love would never just "disappear" due to Red and Kitty or WHOEVER trying to convince her.
So people need to REALLY stop trying to make her a "single" character- she is always a pair! And her other half is him, her Mistah J! Without him, she is nothing. He gave her name, Harley Quinn. Without him...she is just...Harleen Quinzel. And I swear, if he was gone, she'd be a vegetable. She can't stay away from him for too long. The girls won't satisfy her needs for him.
Gosh I am anxious too! I swear, I bet you anything, it will start out as that and they'll end up whisking her away from him before anything is "discussed" with him...or before he can pull that horn of hers and bring her back to him.
(*giggle* My boyfriend cosplays the Joker and today he and I were at a large costume event. He looooves to do just that- grabbing my Harley cowl's horns to bring me near him. It's cute. Haha sorry, just thought I'd share that because I think its soooooo adorable.)

Good grief, a soul to relate to in this crazy fandom! Thank you!
I just do an eyeroll everytime somebody tries to convince her of how sick her love is, how wrong it is, how horrible he is, yadda yadda. I mean, they're psychos, of course it isn't gonna be normal.
Honestly, if he really was gone... What would she be? Just a random clown villain with no real purpose nor reason to actually do any crimes.
I swear, if Calloway doesn't handle the story in a good way, DC will be flooded by angry letters! *cackle*
Oh, I can totally see that!
- "YOU! Prepare to DIE, clown, for all you've..."
- "Aw, I've missed you too, baby!"
And before a proper reunion, somebody just manages to inconviniently turn up and bloody ruin everything! That's why I prefer to see the cover to GCS21 as Harley crying of being away from J again, locked up all on her own.
And after all... Did you see the cover for issue 23? Promising, eh?
Nevermind the silly Red and Kitty figures in the background yelling.
(awwh! Gee, it must of been so cute! I'd love to see that )

It sure does. >:[
But you know, I feel like a lot of the comics with Harley just don't add up to the others. Always different, different stories. As long as they don't butcher her and the Joker's relationship, then I'm fine. If GCS starts doing that, Ima flip a table. >:[

Saltheria In reply to GothamAnarchy [2011-03-05 20:36:12 +0000 UTC]
Oh yes, I know what you mean.
Just look at GCS themselves. In issue 18 Harley claimed that she would probably skip right back to the Joker if he called her, leaving the girls behind.
Issue 19-20? A very random fit of rage and urge to kill him.
Also. Issues... what, 5 and 6? She was all over him. Reluctant to kill, commenting in the end of how would it be if he came back (looking very dreamy), etc...
How does that work? Or is it her mood swing similiar to Harlequinade episode, and it will solve itself out properly with a reunion?
If not, DC may be unexpectedly raided upon. >:[
