Suzuya groaned as she rolled over off of her bed, practically running to the bathroom to vomit more blood. This had been happening for a week now, and she wasn't improving. From aches and pains to coughing and vomiting, what ever sickness she had contracted didn't seem to want to let up anytime soon. Suzuya Figured it had something to do with the Nova Tree falling that perhaps this illness wasn't going away. When she was conscious enough to think, she began rethinking about the days that had passed and the odd occurances they ahd brought. She had recently ignited her workstation accidentally, loosing months of work in a simple out of control spark she didn't even intend to start. Things were getting odd around Wynsiph after the deelagun attack. After the attack she simply went home. She didn't want to be associated with those who had killed the beast, despite the branding of dark glands down her back being a clear indicator of her involvement. She had heard screams and yells after a while, she had seen what she could have sworn was a Yittle pass in front of her windows some days.

She was scared and a deep feeling of guilt washed through her the few days after the deelagun fell. She felt it before anything, something shook her to her core as the tainted magic of the town came with a dark and nasty feeling. Then there were murmurs outside her home. Cries, coughing, wheezing, vomiting the whole lot. The young, the old, children being carried past her home to the center of town. Many going to die where the creature that caused this horrendous event fell. She considered this a repayment of dept to the fallen Nova tree. The town had so greedily taken from it, and now it was time for it to claim something of it's own.

Returning from the bathroom Suzuya shuddered, coughing up more blood, this time thankfully not throwing up. A chill ran down her spine as she  felling against the wall sniffing back ooze running from her nose. She couldn't keep this up anymore. She didn't want to think of herself fallen to the plague, but after days of suffering she couldn't take it. There had to be some help at the center of town. So many had been carried there, and she preferred to be among people rather then in the company of just herself. She moved over to the bed fixing the sheets and began shuffling her way through her home.

Her home wasn't totally intact from the attack, however her sudden ailment had stopped her from doing any sort of damage control. The walls were cracked and groaning, the ceiling almost looking like it'd give way any moment. The worst had been in what had been Keelo's room. One of the walls totally destroyed and the ceiling caved in from what had been a fiery attack from the deelagun. Suzuya swore that it still smelt like sulfur as she passed by it, memories of the night flashing through her mind at the smell. The roar that shook her core, the bodies and bloodmarks from fallen Wyngro, the crack and shudder that brought the town to it's knees. Despite it being weeks ago it was all so fresh in her memory.

A particularly nasty cough woke her from her thoughts as she thought she was going to throw up again, except it was simply more blood this time as she made it down the stairs. Her mind felt bogged down by the sickness as she reached with her oozed hand to grab the railings almost falling. The town center wasn't too far away, she could make it, then she could rest. It's only a few blocks away, she'd be fine... right? Dr. F would know what to do, he was a great healer and he'd probably seen something like this before. Maybe it was just a mild cold or a nasty case of what would be a strain of Gurps. It probably would go away soon anyway, but a trip to the Dr.'s clinic, if it was still standing, wouldn't hurt her any. A chill ran down her back again and she was ready to ignore it just as she had before. Except this time it stalled, leaving her with what almost felt like water running down her back.

Drip
Drip
Drip
Drip

What was that noise? Why was her back so cold? The chill still lingered before a sharp pang rattling through her head caused her to groan and stumble into the wall, her head coming into contact with it causing only more pain. She coughed into her hand again setting it against the wall to brace herself shaking. She rubbed her head until the pain subsided as she went to move again until her cheek felt cold as if she were crying, the only problem was, is she wasn't. It couldn't have been blood as she had hit her head on the other side of her head until the same side began to share a similar feeling. Reaching with her free hand she touched the cold spot as some form of liquid met her touch. She moved her hand back to visually inspect whatever was on her face before her heart almost stopped at the sight of the result. What little light was in the room provided by a lantern above her revealed to her something not even the darkest part of her nightmares could come up with.

Black... Her hand was almost completely covered in the dark ooze... Just like...

No...
No...
No...
No
No
NO

Why was it black? Why was it black?! What was happening? Her mind spun from thoughts as she reached down clutching her side only for the coolness of ooze to be there too. Looking down, to her horror, the glands the deelagun had branded her with were oozing, and out of the corner of her eye she could see a trail she had created from walking. She felt sick to her stomach as she felt ready to throw up again. She had gotten runny glands before but this was... this was something else. She felt sick, she was sick. Trying to calm herself down she took a couple steps forward. She had to get to the town square, there would be help there. Someone could help her. Anyone!

As she stumbled around her home to the landing desperation and panic filling her thoughts another sharp pain went through her chest along with another chill down her back. Her vision blurred this time as she let out a sickly gurgle as more liquid escaped her mouth. She let out a weak cry as her legs failed her, tears welling up only for the ooze to join with them muddying her vision even more.

Thump

Her already weak body shuddered, she tried to push herself up but her arms were to weak at this point. She moaned and sobbed the only thing she could feel at that moment was fear. What had they done? What had they brought? Looking up through her muddied vision the door was only a couple feet in front of her. It was so close.

She was so close.

What had she done?
