This picture actually looked exceptionally bland and empty a couple of minutes ago, but then it occured to me to add snow everwhere and show the minotaur breathing through his nostrils.I really do like it now. I almost nerve draw these guys with the background in mind. I usually draw them first and then make up the background later.

There aren't enough comic-style minotaurs around. The ones you do are awesome. The snowy background and vapor from his nostrils adds a really nice touch, too.

Hey thanks. The snow and nostril vapor was a last second touch. I like comic style stuff because it gets past the glamour and gets right to the creative aspect of art, which is what I hoped I'd accomplish with my style.

Sometimes those last second alterations make all the difference. I agree with you on the comic style. I think that with practice, anyone can draw or paint realistically, but not everyone can use comic-style techniques to create characters that actually look like they have personality. I think that you've mastered that challenge.
