I really enjoyed watching Bleach episode 355, I liked the RenRuki part a lot :3 Poor Renji, locking himself up in his room after Rukia got angry at him XD D'aw!I wanted to draw something related to this episode and this is the result. Maybe they went somewhere to celebrate the New Year or something like this.
I had NO IDEA what I was doing when I did the colo. Actually, this is version #3 and I am not satisfied. I wish I'd know how to work with layers or how to do a really awesome coloration, but I somehow don't get the tutorials... well whatever.

I love this RenRuki fanart of their New Year special appearances. They look so cute together. It was filler but nice filler and not pointless at all; it was realistic because no one really knows what went on during those 17 months in Soul Society between them nor how they celebrated the New Year. Plus, it was a situation I could see happening in canon. Rare, IC and well done filler indeed and it was RenRuki to boot! <3 I too reckon they would have spent time together like this after Renji watched Rukia dance.

Renji's a good guy and tries to support her in any way. And I thought it was a nice gesture from Rukia to invite him for the dance by a special invitaion card

That episode was pure gold for RenRuki that episode might have been filler, but hell it was not far from there relartionship.
it was like crossing over frienship into the next level...it was beautiful and Renji was so broken and hurt after doing that to Hisanas Kimono, and hurting Rukia so, he stood in the rain, it made my heart ache so bad.

I totally agree!! I mean it WAS filler and I don't think this episode makes RenRuki canon or something like this but actually it represented their relationship pretty exactly!
And I'm sure it wouldn't be so absurd to think that they spent some time together after the dance
