Description So, I recently re-read Garth Nix's masterpiece Sabriel (for the fourth time I think) and remembered why it's my all time favourite book. I wish he hadn't spoiled it with Lirael and Abhorsen (didn't like them at all, mostly due to a lack of Sabriel )

I've attempted Sabriel and Touchstone before (the horrendous result is in Scraps if you dare look!), and I'm very happy how this has turned out. It pays to practice drawing, lol. I deliberately took a long time, so I wouldn't rush the background. Sabriel deserves it

Sabriel and her companions Touchstone and Mogget (the cat) explore the underground reservoir where Sabriel's father is supposedly trapped. But what's that in the shadows...?

The characters are copyright Garth Nix.

The background looks just like the "Underground Resivoir" area from the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time video game. That's the first thing I thought of anyway; I'm such a dork!

But I love the Abhorsen trilogy (well pretty much anything Garth Nix writes ) and this picture is great! I love Sabriel's determined expression, Touchstone's wary "can we get out of here please" look and of course Mogget trying to stay dry!

Your drawings are awesome! Such vibrant colors. (ah, this is Neddie from authonomy)

Sabriel and Touchstone look fabulous--and Touchstone looks so dang cute, just like I pictured him. x3 It amazes me how much detail you can do--without making it look all cluttered. That's really a good skill to have. @__@

True. But it also gives you great joy to see improvement in yourself!

Nice job. The only thing I don't like is that Mogget looks like an oversized rat.

Brilliant, and amazing progression when you compare it against the first one.
