You noticed it? ...you're one of the rare to do so(I was very proud of this silly quote)
Side note says it's inspired from Howard E.Robert' novel "The Enamel Throne"("throne" often used as slang for toilets in french)
Thanks my friend!!!

Hard to miss I was laughing my head off, thank you for that!

I memorized that quote by Mako (watched the movie 20 times, have the OST, play 'Riders of Doom/Riddle of Steel' whenever I'm drawing a battle scene, and use 'The Orgy' whenever I draw a beautiful woman transforming into a giant snake. Basil Poledouris rocks!)
"Between the time when the oceans drank Atlantis, and the rise of the sons of Aryas, there was an age undreamed of. And unto this, Conan, destined to bear the jewelled crown of Aquilonia upon a troubled brow. It is I, his chronicler, who alone can tell you of his saga. Let me tell you of THE DAYS OF HIGH ADVENTURE!!"

oh yeah, 'throne'!

This quote is absolutely thrilling!
I remember when I saw Conan first time it was released in France(1982):I was already fond of John Buscema,Barry W.Smith and Roy Thomas's great comics and had also 3 books of REH...but I wasn't prepared to the visual and musical shocks in theater!!!
Mako's quote was the trigger(I saw it in french but for once, dubbing was great for the whole cast)and the scenes of Conan's father talking about Riddle of Steel or Riders of Doom storming in the Cimmerian Village with that incredible score hypnotized me and nailed me to my seat, like the rest of the movie!!
Basil 's OST never leaves my playlist and fortunately I could get the ultimate one with 33 tracks(including "Tower of Set","Gladiator","The Witch" and so...))which I often use to get inspiration in my drawings!
With Vangelis's "Blade Runner",let's say it's my musical "Black Lotus" whose "smokes" evoke me scenes and characters to draw!

"Black lotus, Stygian, the best!"

"This better not be haga..."

"I would sell haga to a slayer such as you?"

let's say that the text is a parody of the Nemedian Chronicles, talking about war in the Hyborian Kingdoms, and the coming of a man of great strength,a warrior from the North, sword in hand(sounds familiar, isn't it?)
