Okay, time for my critique. I'm going to repeat a lot of what I noted in the contest feature so I'll apologize in advance for being redundant.

I like the play of shadows across the petals. It really adds depth to the painting and makes it so interesting to look at. This is such a successful capture of sunlight; it's almost like a photo.

I like the softness of the plant life in the background. The somewhat muted colors complement the flowers but still let them take center stage. While this doesn't really have that otherworldy feel to it that really makes me think of fairies or a farie land, I think it's the size of the flowers that conveys that. The propation of them make them seem almost giant and I almost expect to see Tinker Bell sitting on one of the flowers.

It's such a playful yet sophisicated painting. I love it! And I love oil painitngs, so this was definitely a shoe-in for my favorites folder. Great work!
