Description Applied some new techniques in texturing to my Amy Rose model! Absolutely loving new Blender features like the principled shader-- it has made my life so much easier! And the denoiser has halfed render times. Loving it! 

This pose is based off of Amy on the IDW no. 2 cover. It isn't exact, but same idea. 

Not all textures were made by me: white fabric textures shown were based off of katsukagi's texture maps on 3Dtextures.me.  Scratch texture maps were provided by cgbookcase.com-- consider supporting them on Patreon! All other textures/components of textures and UV maps are my own.

Model Details: 
Verts: 120,049
Fully rigged with armature and shape keys for facial expressions. 

Render Details:
Rendered on Blender Cycles v. 2.79 with Filmic Blender installed @ high contrast (get Filmic Blender at github.com/sobotka/filmic-blen… ... it kills!) 
Samples 300 (with denoiser!) 
Full resolution (download): 2160 x 3840 
Size: 4.0 MB 
Took about two hours to render.

I'm jealous of the hair modeling. I never could get it quite right on mine. How did you model it?

P.S: What is the ''denoiser''? That could come in handy if it reduce rendering time.

Hmm...I'm curious now.

A tapered cylinder? Then how did you fuse the top of the head?Shouldn't there be a convergence point ( which would look very odd) where the curve merge?

And I'm using 2.79d ( and I understood that this one was also made with 2.79), so where is the denoiser in that one?

I have done a few, actually! It isn't so bad, but it is hard on my computer because I don't have the proper hardware. Particle systems really amp up render time. It does look really nice, though.

It will probably be a long while until I pick commissions up again. I am right in the middle of a very time-consuming part of my life! I will definitely post if I start them again.
