This... was so much fun
Something a little different than what I've done before!
Time:
(approximate estimates)
Mesh model: 5 hrs
UV Unwrapping/Creating and Placing Textures: 2 hrs
Rigging: 4/5 hrs (still more to be done)
Render: 3 hr, 15 min at 5000 samples 1080 x 1920
Editing Render in GIMP: 1 hr
Anyway:
Created/Rendered in Blender 2.70
Post-Render edits in GIMP (free programs for the win)
Entire image and all its contents are created original by me.

Oh man, yes, it is! Sometimes I'll let it render overnight-- I had a commission a while back that took 2 days to render (that was a little crazy, I need to check if I have a virus d: ) but yes, I can't even imagine for an animation.. I don't have the patience! Haha
