Dragon Quest VIII fanart of Jessica and Angelo. I still haven't finished that game yet....I'm right at the end, too
If you can't tell due to the crappy quality of my scanner and my poor attempts at fixing it in PhotoStudio, the little ball of light in Angelo's hand is to heal Jessica's wound. I had to use the lighten tool to try and fix it.
I messed up on Angelo's clothes....forgot the coattails...
Once again I used water soluble colored pencils for the BG [woo! BG!] and once again I was too lazy to get a brush and cup of water. So my finger tips are dyed blueish-green.

Btw....do you know the item you need in order to run around towns and dungeons as a person other than Luke? Because my game glitched and put me on the first in the order [Jade], not that I'm complaining but I haven't found the item yet and I'm pretty damn far into the game...

I always fight the first play through with the main character for some reason 
:scratches head: Oh! You mean the S flag? You get that in the Cheagle Woods. When you first enter the woods go across the stream and goto the far right path. Once you enter the different screen burn the shrubs in your way and there should be a chest straight ahead with the wanted S Flag.

>< Tear never fucking heals! Even when set on the heal strategy! I even get Luke in the game yelling at her "Heal us already!" It's actually pretty funny[ other than the fact that half the party is dead...]

I can deal with her more than Anise [especially after her little stunt....]. But she is too "save everyone" oriented. All of ToS was like that. "We have to save them!" At least Luke and Jade only partially give a shit XD
I found an online one [forgot the url though...damn] that completely walks you through the game including when parts of side quests come up. If I find it again I'll send you the link.

Yeah but even that didn't ahve much to it [I want to find all the sidequests online to do them in the second playthrough]. But I think after getting all the catalysts weapons or something you find out more about Nebilim [or fight her or something....]

True. There are so many side events though I don't know if there's outfit changing titles for all of them but there is for at least one I think

^^ Oh! I've got a few for each character! The bathing suit ones are...interesting...
I'm not sure with Nebilim....all I know is she's the most powerful boss to fight, her spells kick ass, and it's a pretty insane battle. ^^ But that makes it all the more interesting to fight! I'm a pretty excellent strategist in battles if I do say so myself

Hmm... I think she's at lvl 100 [that's the only lvl they say she is] I'm horrible when it comes right down to it. I set Tear to healing, Jade to fonic arts, Luke I use so I most of the time jump over their heads and attack from the back [I'm a little backstabber xD] and Guy I kind of let him do what he wants... he's the scapegoat and gets aimed at for the most part

Eesh...Sounds like Abyssemon [sp?] from ToS. He was a BITCH with his phucking Meteor Storm which he could cast in 2 seconds flat. Screwed up my healing. I remember I had to use an All-Divide so that my party would stop dying so much....Though that meant the battle took twice as long 
o.O Guy likes to die...it seems Tear's ALWAYS using Resurrection on him...
I think I've only lost two or three times....one was in the Coliseum against those former Tales characters [but I restarted to save my Gald

Hmm... I can't even remember who I lost to... I didn't try the Coliseum so it wasn't there but it might have been at the Zhao Ruins because I remember running through the desert a lot collecting the items from those search point xD

I think I lost to someoen else too...But I also restart battles if I win but someone in my party died before I could revive them. Once, when I still played as Luke, Jade died 2 seconds before the battle ended because Tear decided to use another attack instead of healing him before *coughWHOREcough* She annoys me with that sometimes. Coliseum's not bad in party mode but it gets easier with a higher level. o_O I barely beat those 4 previous Tales characters and I was at about 65. Though Anise and Natalia are at 64 while everyone else is either 67 or 68 becuae they don't get as much exp. when they sit out. Ah well. I'd keep Natalia in if she could bring people back to life.

Ah yes....I think that's where you get it. I also think there's an upgrade for teh Albiore as well. That was a bitch to get to, too...and you end up going through this area with uber-strong monster, one has 135,000 HP and the others have between 40,000 and 120,000. You level up quite a bit to say the least.

Poor Colette....well in my defense, if she would stop dying so much then I'd start bringing her back to life more often. >< Yeah, it's bugging me too. Her voice actor isn't the greatest. Nice voice but no ability to read into situations for emotion...[Ion's is worse]. ^^ Heh. Jade was my favorite before I even started playing! I liked his concept art the best and when you first meet him in the game I coudn't help but love his personality. ^^
Wow...really? He dies a lot but that's because he doesn't get healed or runs right into things [I hate when teh characters are all controlled by the computer.....pisses me off because they don't dodge anything]. Anise dies pretty often for me and doesn't do a whole lot of damage. She's like Zelos in ToS-always running back by the healer. I don't know how many times Raine [me] got killed like that.... Natalia is too much of a princess to fight and keep her mind on the fight. Asch htis, Asch that....jeez, calm your hormones dammit! [I could spoil something but I won't

Yeah, and you really do need that upgrade to do other stuff. It allows you to get to Nam Cobanda Isle, Nebilim's cave place, through blizzards, whirlpools, and sandstorms.

Because....well...he was just a really nice guy and trusted the wrong person [did you get to that part yet?] He didn't do anything to Dist....but it showed how Dist really looked up to Jade.
You can do multiplayer in ToA. I saw it in the little booklet in the case. But it's just with 2 people unless you have a multi-tap.

I didn't even go from a guide [except for a few things] so I can't really compare. All I know is that the one I looked at for the Absprption Gate [first time] totally missed a step and it fucked up my game until I figured out how to fix in 3 hours later.

This is neat! I haven't actually played the game, but I recognized them! *feels happy* I'm sure the coloring looks better on the actual picture, but even with the scanner doom I think it looks pretty good. Nice work.
