This is really nice! First off I really love the background, the way you did the water as grass is very nice like how'd you do that, the layering looks good as with the colours. As for the chatter they look quite awesome! They have a really fun design to them and the lighting on them looks quite nice. All in all great job!

I heard. I've been trying to get myself used to it, jumping in and out of the new layout. The biggest issue for me is how they set up notifications, which is 90% of my usage of this site. I'll try to stay around though. Would feel weird not using it after so many years.
