Let me start by first saying this is a great concept. Done many times by many artist's, i still find the color focus element appealing. You did a great job with removing the color leaving perfect transition and lines, however, it appears to me that you colored a rogue piece of grass instead of the stem. Also, i find that the yellow flower in the background should not be there. it is out of focus, and draws from the focal point of the photo. I must also add that i believe this picture was meant to have a warm, inspiring feeling, however the back drop of the picture is a bit ominous. possibly waiting for a bit more sun or a brighter day for this photo would have helped. All in all i must say i enjoy this photo however with a few modifications you could truly make this a better piece.

Hi!There is one thing I liked about what you did in this picture: the way you chose to break the monotony of the black and white in a nature B/W shot by giving color to some flowers. There is, however, a problem for me in this very same aspect. The yellow one is a bit distracting in there. It steals attention from the big white flower that appears in the foreground. Besides that there is also a distracting factor in the way you composed it, by letting so much empty space between that same yellow flower and the end of the border, to the right side. Next time you could try and do the opposite of what you made here in regards to that. In case you are a beginner in photography I also recommend you try to do some research with the terms "rule of thirds", I think that may help you understand why am I bringing this up.Apart from that another piece of advice is to be more careful with the angle you chose to use and what is in the background of your subject of focus. Sometimes too much makes it dull instead of interesting. To end, don't be afraid of trying new things and to move yourself in space around the flower and up and down, because a photo of a flower cannot rely alone on the beauty of the flower, you have to make it interesting, and a straightforward angle isn't helping you here.I hope this was helpful! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/sā¦ " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>
