My entry for the contest at to draw them as kids.So here we have young Manic holding a Chaos Emerald while Rouge points out that they've been spotted, (For the ecord, I think that's the first time I've tried drawing a character pointing directly forward, at least to my knowlede), probably by the police.
Rouge's hand, the one on Manic's shoulder, annoys me. It's way too large. But otherwise I think this turned out quite well.

*Nods* Rouge is fun to draw surprised for that reason, and I gave her the more modest looking clothes because a lot of people think she may have gone from a rich background. In my 'verse I think she was an adopted orphan though o.o
