My response to the YGO 100 Art Themes: 95. Pokemon crossover.I'd been working on a GX/Pokemon crossover in my head for a while now so this was an excuse to draw one of the characters from it.
Ryo is the main character in the series. And the reason for such an odd choice in Pokemon was because when I originally planned it he was going to have a Gyrados and Asuka (who travels with him for the first part of the story) had a Glameow. But then I started thinking why it had to be that way. Just because Asuka was the girl didn't mean she had to have the girly Pokemon. Since she uses ice monsters in GX it'd be all right for her to have a water monster like Gyrados. So it was swapped around. Ryo has the Glameow and Asuka has the Gyrados. It works better for the plot that way in practise.
I'm a little annoyed that the scanner didn't pick up on the grey coloured on Glameow making her look white. ;-;

u could probably post pokemon/ygo xover fanfics with Ryo as the main character and all that. i could personally see Asuka with a Glaceon or a Sneasel. maybe even dark pokemon too, since there are not that many ice types.

Can't have her with a Glaceon, as it's important to the back-story that Fubuki has one of them, not Asuka. ^^ Sneasel could work but I'm steering away from dark Pokemon because those users are so overdone.

If I did do more I'd want to give them all Pokemon style outfits. =3
Everyone wants Gyarados. XD But at least it'd make sense if Bastian had one. Though I've worked a lot of the basis that Alexis and Kaiba have the Gyarados, don't want to throw too many in. Would it be so wrong for Bastian to have one of the Porygon family? Or is that too much of a nerdy thing?

I have a Staravia, a Luxio, a Krickatune, and.....the evolved form o' Piplet... I have others too, but not too many...
One o' those eam Galactic peeps had a Glameow! I was SO MAD that HE had one that I went looking...only to realize that they prolly don't live in that area....

Which game have you got? Because you can only get Glameow on Pearl. I was so annoyed when I found that since I had Diamond.

DARN IT!!!! I thought the pokemon on Diamond's cover was prettier, so I got Diamond! GRRR!!!! If the pokemon aren't in the game, THEY SHOULDN'T GIVE THEM TO THE PEOPLE!!! THEY'RE TEASING US!!!!!!!

That's what I was thinking too. XD Though I found it so funny at the same time. My sister got the game after me and when she said how cute Glameow was I was all, "Wait until you see it evolve. 8D ". Ryo's Glameow has an Everstone though, because he doesn't want it to evolve.

Exactly. XD Plus in the description for it Purugly is described as a bully who pushed other Pokemon out of their nests. Ryo doesn't want his Glameow to become like that in the story.
I'm backed up on my art too. D: There's so many contests I want to enter but don't have time too. ;-; And I have trouble CGing too. Though I'd like to see Ryo drawings.

I don't really know much about CGing but I've heard of the dodge tool. XD And using a night background just so you can have stars is a wonderful excuse.
Black hair? Ack! Mostly people lighten up the black so its more grey but still looks black. I think.

I'll try to do more work on it.
You know I'm not entirely sure what Dark Magician would be. He doesn't really match up to many of the characters and it'd be too God Mod for Yugi to have a Mewtwo. XD Most people seem to give him a Raichu for some reason.
