I'm using Paint tool SAI, and sometimes export to Photoshop to grt transparent backgrounds.

Well, her ears are usually hidden behind her mane at this angle. My sketches always have ears untill I add hair.
But I do agree that it does look a bit weird with this hairstyle. Maybe a tiny tip sticking out would have been a better choice.
