Lmfao. I was already done making the tut when I thought, "wtf is this i'm not cool LOL"

AND THEN I WAS LIKE F IT.

Copic Markers are expensive but super fun and pretty easy to use so I'd say they are worth it.

DON'T YOU DARE TAKE IT DOWN! v-v

I likz it.

I've always wanted to use copic markers but am too timid with coloring to try. I have PrismaColor pencils, so I'd rather practice with that first, you know? Do you layer with the same color or mix colors to get a better effect?

YESSIR.

Prismacolor pencils are excellent, and I used them for a while before Copics. I actually carried over the same technique from the pencils, so I'd say that sounds good!
I tend to layer with different colors to give the shadinng a brighter look. I go in an orange direction most of the time. I only use the same color to blend it, but you can't get it too wet, or you'll have a middle shadow that doesn't transition to the darkest color. Good gosh, I hope that makes sense.

Thank you

Lmfao! Sorry!

Uhm, simply said: I use different colors to shade. In a basic picture, I'd use a light peach and then shade with orange toned colors. If they don't blend just right, I go over the whole thing with the light peach to blend it. But if you color too long, the picture will become too wet, and get somewhat of a stain on it.

This is helpful! I have some copic markers, but I've been too scared to play with them. Markers are so alien to me! The picture you drew looks so gorgeous, by the way.

My sister bought them, and I was scared to used them at the time too! They're really fun though
Thank you!

Have you had any issues with the paper wrinkling from the paint? I have not tried this myself (no markers) but it seems like that would be a concern. Maybe you are light enough on the paint that it is not an issue?

I don't use a lot of paint, so it has never wrinkled on me. I also do not wet the brush when using the paint. The paint tends to sit right on top of the marker
I was worried about it too at first!

Oh, I see. Well, if I ever find my prismacolor markers, I'll have to give that a shot. Thank you, for the tutorial.
