Bout time I did another practice sketch. I think the recent experiments with colouring and digital drawing might have caused my skills to degrade.

This time it is Chiba Kirino from the manga Bamboo Blade by Masahiro Totsuka and Aguri Igarashi. While the entire cast of Bamboo Blade is really fun to follow, Kirino's a definite favourite.

This was done using the cover of volume 8 of Bamboo Blade as a reference. I did this with my large sketchbook, so about 25% of the original sketch is cut off (in the full sketch, you can see up to her waist).

I did not create Kirino, she is a character that was created and belongs to Masahiro Totsuka and Aguri Igarashi.
