It all started when someone died, and Imoen said '
oor sod, takin' the dirtnap so soon.'...And then I was like WTFH that's planar cant!

lol not again !!!! I kept him in my team all the time. He is not a powerful magus, his sword isn't useful cuz he's a magus, and he dies all the time ... but this dude is the funniest caracter in BG1. Too bad he isn't in the 2 T_T ... but anyway, that's an awesome picture

You can get him in BGII--there's a mod for it. Why else do you think Aerie and Haer'Dalis are there? This *is* BGII XD.
And actually, Xan can be really useful if you know enough about strategy. He's saved my ass in several tough battles in BGI.
Although if you really don't like it, in the BGII mod, you're allowed to change his class when you install the mod--You can make him a plain old mage, so he can cast Magic Missile, a Wild Mage, so the fun can commence (Although I really can't see him as a Wild Mage), a Fighter/Mage, so he can actually use his Moonblade effectively, or a sorcerer (which I changed it to, because sorcerers are really useful, there arent any sorcerer NPC's in the game, and my Bhaalspawn's a Wild Mage)
The mod is by Kulyok and you can find it at Pocket Plane Group. It's one of the more famous mods out there. I highly recommend it, I think it's one of the best mods I've ever downloaded.

Hehe thanks, i'll try this out. I'm not sure it will work cuz i've tried other and as i've got the french release of the game ... let's say it's a little complicated to make those mods working ^^ mabe soon i'll have the colorspray caster back in my party XD

So start a new game, and have two running at once. If you're too tired of Irenicus' dungeon to do so, there's also a mod out that lets you skip it ^.-

Oh I know about a lot of mods. I can't use half of em, cause my compy hates em, but I know what they do, and I can recommend the few that I do use.
If you want something random, my friend Talin has a mod that allows him to make his party members spontaneously combust. Perfect for those characters you just can't stand.
Oh and do you like the webcomic Dungeon Crawl, Inc? Because there's a mod for BGII that incorporates a DCI-related adventure into the game in which you get to meet all the best characters from the comic. I love that mod so much.

Hm maybe because he tells me on a regular basis that he's better than me, or maybe because he constantly patronizes my other characters, looks down upon me because I'm chaotic, and tells me tall tales about the awesome things he's done, all of which he has actually NOT done. He's just too dang bigheaded.

Heh he I cheated in ice wind dale... By resting an insane amount of time I waited till I was attacked in my sleep and kill them for experience...
At first it was Yetis, witch I have just now researched. That i killed 1218 of them... *Rare species my ass*
But later I discovered it was far more effective to train on cold wrights....

Yeah mine broke a lot there too, but I finally made it past there. I'm on Chapter 6 now ^.^ Almost done! Next summer, I'm TOTALLY gonna beat it.
...But, the Severed Hand was TOTALLY my favorite chapter anyway. ^^ I liked talking to the elf ghosts.

No, it's just that MOST of them have been dead so long that they've lost all their memories and have no sense of self, and are now mindless killing machines. It's not anything you did. I mean I enjoyed talking to the ones that weren't psychos yet.
