interesting shot. very simplistic in composition, giving it an almost symmetrical feel. what are those skinny white vertical lines? i see some spiderwebs on the plant. is it part of a spiderweb? i like the black and white-ness of this. good stuff!

The skinny white vertical lines are static lines, put in by me in the only real post-production work in the piece. They were just added because I thought it enhanced the composition.
You'd think that it would be part of a spiderweb, but it seems as if the spider either gave up trying, or forgot. The way aloe plants grow, it's just a freestanding stick, almost, with buds coming off of it. There's nothing there to continue on the web with.
