my inspiration? the girl was inspired from the drawing on our mooncake box, and the rabits, they just came to my mind :d

I first tought you used the rabbits because of the legendery moon rabbit . It is said in some vertions that he makes sweets (rice cakes). It is an old japanese folk lore. Some legeds even say that the rabbit makes the elixir of life.

I also like the long rabbits. Strangely it reminds me of something you would be able to see in xxxholic.

Well that is a good thing. The CLAMP characters are often very "pretty" and it is a very detailed and hard style to draw.
