Description
Here's the next chapter of Jungle Boy, where Sammy finally comes of age to face Saber the leopard.

The next day was another sunny day in the jungle. As the sun's rays peeked down into the canopy, flowers from the branches and foliage unfolded revealing their beauty. In the tiger streak's part of the jungle, tigers were either lounging about or cleaning their fur. As Rajah was minding her own business, Sammy was hiding in the bushes a few feet from behind. As he crept up being as quiet as he can, he soon got ready as he was right behind Rajah. Just as he was about to make an elephant call, Rajah stopped him saying, "Don't even think about it young man." As he stopped his elephant call, he went up to her chuckling and and said, "Ah mom, you're no fun. How'd you know it was me?" "I'm your mother, I know everything" she said with a smug grin, "Now where you have you been?" As he reached into the trees and started eating a papaya, Sammy responded with a chuckle, "I thought you knew everything."

Just then, Kelabu jumped out of the bushes and pounced on Sammy while turning to Rajah saying, "Hi mom!" Putri followed chuckling as she turned to her saying, "Hey mama." Just then, Tony dropped from the trees and landed on Putri. He soon looked over at Rajah with a smile and said, "Greetings Missss Rajah, ma'am." "Why hello Tony dear," Rajah she responded. Chuckling, Tony said, "Dear, ho ho ho, she called me dear. Heehee." Soon after, Putri grabbed Tony with her teeth and plopped him on the ground. As they all ran and played with one another, Rajah called to them, "Don't play too rough now." Soon, Sammy pounced on Kelabu, but was attacked from behind by Putri who pinned him on the ground. "Ha, pinned you!" "Hey, let me up!" Sammy said as Putri got off of him giggling. Soon with a smug grin, Sammy attempted to pounce on Putri, but she pinned him like before. "Pinned you again." She said smugly. This made Sammy grumble from this, but then let out a chuckle regardless.

Alongside them, Kelabu and Tony were playing together as well. But as Kelabu pinned the snake to the ground with a smug grin, Tony responded by grinning happily while his yellow eyes changed into spirals of blue, red, and green. Kelabu's eyes soon mimicked Tony's as he got dizzy. This was Tony's hypnotic stare, a special quality that snakes have. As Tony got the tiger cub completely hypnotized, the cub let him up as the snake wrapped his coils around him. As Tony got up to Kelabu's face, he whispered a command into his ear. As Tony uncoiled himself from the cub, Kelabu got up on his hind legs and danced like a fool which made Sammy and Putri laughed. As she snapped her brother out of the trance, Putri said with a chuckle, "You can't always fall for that bro." "Fall for what?" Kelabu said clueless while yawning. Then they all laughed for a while up until Sammy started to notice the bushes from the opposite end of them started to shake.

As they noticed Sammy walking curiously and cautiously up to the shaking bushes, the tiger cubs and Tony noticed him stepping towards them. "Hmm, ssssomething's wrong," Tony said to the two. "Sammy, is everything okay?" Putri asked. "Stay there guys," Sammy said to them as he stepped up to the bushes. As he got close enough, with a roar Saber the leopard leaped out and attacked. As he ran straight for the boy, Sammy ducked and ran straight for his friends. "Run for it!!" he shouted. As they ran back to where the tiger streak resided, Saber gave chase with a roar as Kelabu shouted, "Mom!" "Mama!" Putri shouted. As Rajah heard the cries, she turned to see them running behind her as Tony quickly climbed up the trees and curled himself up into a ball shaking. "Children, what's the matter? Where is Sammy?" Rajah asked the terrified cubs. But her answer was soon given as she heard another roar and saw the leopard running after Sammy who dashed up into the trees. Shocked and angry, Rajah said, "Saber!"

As Saber attempted to run up into the trees after him, Harimau grabbed him with his claws and threw him into another direction. Soon, a vicious fight started as the two cats clashed. Harimau swiped and clawed at the leopard, but Saber gained the upper hand as he jumped on top of the old leader clawing and biting him. As he was pinned to the ground, Saber was about to fatally strike the white tiger up until Sammy swung from the trees and kicked Saber off of Harimau, saving the leader's life. As he got in front of the white tiger, Sammy stared menacingly at the leopard who got up disoriented, but he shook it off quickly. As he stared at Sammy and chuckled with a wicked smile. "My my my, how you've grown," Saber said as he eyed the boy. "Who are you?" Sammy shouted "Why are you doing this?" "Oh you don't know?" Saber said, "Regardless. I am Saber, the leopard who is about to end your life, man-cub!" "We'll just see about that!" Sammy responded as he growled with his teeth showing while taking out a spear he fashioned from a stick, a vine, and a razor sharp rock.

Soon, all of the tigers started to roar and chant as a fight was about to commence. The two circled each other, staring menacingly while growling. Rajah looked with a worried expression while Kelabu and Putri did the same. Tony stilled curled up into a ball looked with fright as well through his body as the fight was about to start. Looking at the leopard menacingly with his spear aimed towards the cat, Saber made the first move as he lunged at Sammy, he ducked out of the leopard's path and ran through the jungle. Laughing, Saber followed as he said, "Run man-cub! The hunt is on!" As he ran up into a tree, Sammy was soon pursued by the leopard as he chased him up the trees. Running and clawing at the boy, Sammy dodged Saber's every move as he swung around the trees. As the tigers roared and saw what was happening, Sammy stopped in one spot and looked around wondering where Saber was. "Show yourself Saber!!" Sammy shouted. "All in good time man-cub," Saber said through the trees as Sammy looked for him, "All in good time."

Soon, Sammy looked up as Saber dropped from above lunging at him. As he attempted to land on Sammy, the boy responded by shoving him to the side as the leopard landed on the ground. Soon the tigers roared and chanted as Saber saw his shoulder was scratched by Sammy's spear. As Saber eyed the bleeding wound on his shoulder, he looked back at Sammy and hissed menacingly, who in turn hissed back not phased by the leopard's stare. As he landed, they circled each other once more with Saber making the first move again, this time with the leopard scratching Sammy on the chest. As Sammy saw the deep scratches as blood oozed out of them from his chest, he stared angrily at Saber who attacked him again, pinning the boy to the ground alongside a cliff edge. In the process, Saber broke his spear as Sammy saw the sharp end falling down the cliff. Avoiding the attacks the leopard was giving by blocking them with the stick, Saber chuckled menacingly as he said, "Now man-cub, you are mine!" But Sammy shoved him off with his legs and darted towards the trees again. Saber followed as he saw Sammy going inside tree roots at the bottom.

As Sammy was deep into the roots below, he dodged Saber's attacks as he attempted to claw at him. Sammy soon saw from an opening his spear, up until Saber looked inside and roared at him. As he saw Saber's paws swiping and clawing at him, Sammy grabbed a rock and violently shoved into one of the openings where Saber's paws were trying to get him. Roaring in pain, Saber tried to pry his paw out as he saw Sammy coming out of the opening. As Sammy raced over to his broken spear end, Saber pulled free and raced after the boy. Soon Sammy grabbed the spear end just as Saber lunged at him and pounced through the ground in a deep pit. Soon, all of the tigers alongside a worried Rajah, her cubs, and Tony looked as there were no movements in the pit. Then they saw that Saber's body was coming out of the pit with worried looks, but soon saw that the leopard's body was flung to the side, dead. Then Sammy crawled out with a stick on one hand, and the blood stained spear end in the other.

As he crawled out and stood up, he saw the tigers roaring and cheered while Rajah stood proudly seeing the cub who won against the menacing leopard. "He did it!" Putri cheered, "Sammy won!" "Way to go big bro!" Kelabu cheered as well. As he saw the now lifeless body of Saber the leopard, he stood on top of it with one foot and roared similarly to a tiger as they all continued to cheer. Then they gathered around him as they continued cheering. Soon Tony slithered up to him as he said to them, "Alright, come on now. Besssst friend coming through." he said to them and turned to Sammy as he climbed up his shoulders, "And you, don't ever do that again. There are other ways of getting attention you know?" "I'll try to remember that." Sammy answered. Soon after, he saw Harimau looking from a cliff perch with a serious face, but it soon turned into a smile and a nod as he went back to their home alongside everyone else in the streak. Soon Rajah rushed over to him and hugged Sammy, "Don't ever scare me like that again! I'm so glad you're alright!" Hugging back, Sammy said, "I promise mom, I promise."
