this is incredible! and what an idea! absolutely stunning shot.
but I'm a bit confused- I looked up the 20D to see it's shutter speeds and it says its between 30sec - 1/8000th... so how can you get a 118 sec exposure? is that different depending on the lens? I have lenses with appertures that are smaller and greater than f/13, but my camera wont exceed the 30 second length of shutter speed... :S
(I do have a very basic dslr though- 350D...)

after 30sec it says 'bulb' and you just hold down the shutter button...?

did you use an darkening lens to cover the time gap in combination with the aperture? because 118s ...

I didn't use any filter. It was enough dark to get 118s exposure with f/13
