Backstory: Liam Macallan is a field worker who lives on a ranch owned by his grandfather, passed down by his father to him. What Liam does is typical farm work; tend to the cattle, work the tractor, feed the chickens, the whole nine yards. He also owns a lot of horses, including a female Clydesdale named Thordis. Of course, he doesn't do it alone; his brother MacIntyre, or Mac as he's called, his sister Annabelle, and his lovely wife, Jenny Westwood, who's always by his side.

Sadly, the good times wouldn't last long; tragedy struck; when Liam was 22, his father came down with a terminal illness and sadly passed away from it. The loss was hard for everyone, Liam included, and all their hard work suffered from the untimely passing. For a time, Liam was very depressed as he missed his father greatly; his family was starting to worry about his well-being and that he may never be the same.

Eventually seeking counseling and therapy, Liam got back into working on the farm, but never truly moved on nor sought to make any new friends, so he was stuck in a rut. That is until a special someone came into his life. See, during their time of mourning, the Macallan family were comforted by the Westwood family, who have had close ties with the Macallan family for a long time. It was there that Liam had an unexpected reunion with his childhood sweetheart (and future wife) Jennifer Westwood, or Jenny as she's usually called. The two first met when she and Liam were children, and were very close and began dating when they turned 18. Somewhere along the way, however, Liam and Jenny grew separate and lost touch with each other... until the passing of the former father. During this time, the pair had begun to bond while they equally mourn. About a month later, Liam had begun to notice how much his old friend had grown, and almost immediately, he was infatuated with the farm girl's beauty. As time went on they began to realize their feelings for one another, and after several dates, Liam finally popped the big question to his love. Of course, Jenny said yes, and they shared a passionate moment loving each other. A year later, they married. Now, Liam's life is better, and with Jenny by his side, he couldn't be happier.
