Description Idk what it is about Kiara that makes her one of the easiest canon lionesses for me to draw... But I kind of chalk that up to the fact that I intentionally don't keep her quite on model The way I've always seen it, Kiara is a VERY young adult at most in the second film, and I think over the next few months she fills out a bit more as she grows into an actual adult. I'm particularly fond of the idea that she most resembles her grandmother, Sarabi

INFO:

The title for the first part of the story is called "Simba's Reign."

The story picks up right where The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride ends.

The Lion Guard does not exist in my story. Kion does not exist in my story.

None of the other Lion King story books exist either. Nor does any other semi-canon characters. So no Kopa, Kula, Chumvi, Malka, Mheetu, etc. None of those guys exist in my story.

"Simba's Reign" is strictly based off the canon events of the first and second Lion King films.

The way the pride functions is going to be based heavily on how real lion prides function. As in, the leader of the pride fathers all the cubs. Because of this, Simba's gonna end up with a good number of kids lol.

Also based on the way real lion prides function, for the most part, the lions don't care too much about blood relationships. The only family they really keep track of are mother-offspring relationships and the offspring of the king and queen. Half-siblings (i.e. cubs fathered by Simba that have different mothers,) aren't considered siblings by lion standards, they only count sibling relationships if the cubs in question have the same mother. So there may be some inbreed-y things going on later on in the story because of this. But as I said, lions don't pay attention to most blood relationships, so hopefully my content doesn't come across as gross or perverted in any way, as that's not my intention  But that won't even be an issue for quite a while, I just felt the need to give a warning in case that bothers anyone. I would hate for someone to be hurt/upset by the content in my story because I didn't give proper warnings.

Side note: I've got absolutely nothing against The Lion Guard, the novels, etc. I quite like a lot of the content that people have created using such characters. They just aren't something I want to include in my own work. Not to mention I've been working on this project since before The Lion Guard was even announced, so trying to squeeze Kion into a world I've been developing for quite a few years years... It just doesn't work lol. Sorry, but he's getting the boot
