I've finally set up my easel and paints, and all - eager to use my mini-studio (and unable to get the refs from my computer to start a new project due to Skyrim...) I scuffed about and bought up the sketch of this, inked it and pulled out my year-old watercolour bowls and used the leftovers in those...So, let me know what you think? I think when I sketched this I was thinking oriental ~

I always find it quite eerie whenever I see a creature with a human face x'D like those deers with human faces But it is a very interesting concept and the design do really look lovely! For an example, I really love the colours of the creature, makes it quite unique but still oriental looking~ Just gorgeous colour combination!

This is such an unusual creature! It looks like a god-critter from a Miazaki movie. It makes me think of Princess Mononoke, in particular, as if it could be a companion for the deer-god. I also like the mix of colors, particularly around the wings. Nifty stuff.
