Short story tiem:
I guess the concept is that, once he's cut off his horn, his
teeth begin to fall out (like baby teeth), allowing his fangs to
grow in. He'd expected to become 'mortal'/human but it didn't
work out as well as planned. Instead, it became a bit harder
to (visually) hide his beast status.
