Description It was late evening at Melfar Academy and everyone was preparing for an unusual meeting or rather dinner. The Ashida's sent a strange invitation to their mansion, in order to show their hospitality as hosts of a dinner. The invitation said to await a young boy with long reddish brown hair, who'll take them from the portal room straight to the mansion. As requested the people began gathering in the said place, which was the administration building.

Suddenly the portal activated and a young boy with long reddish brown hair walked through. He was wearing steampunk clothes and had a black tail with re tiger stripes and black fox ears. He looked around at the people. Aarina, Vogen, Areshi, Ren, Dorothy, Phoebe, Batibat and Kanako. Everyone was here. The boy smile towards them. "From your outfits I'm assuming you're the guest of our dinner tonight"

"My name is Matthal Ashida-No-Uji, Raven's younger brother. I'll be guiding you to our mansion tonight. But before we step into our world, the normal rules ~devu" He said reached his hand out with strange white crystals as necklaces. Each of them grabbed one, turning them into a Vareos person as well as allowing them to understand the strange language Vareos speak. Animal ears and tail, what was normal for Matthal and Vogen, but the rest seemed rather weird about it. So far the Vareos world was the only one that required making your species.

Vogen's form wasn't that much of a difference from is former Vareos looks. White wolf ears and two tail, luckily though his hair remained unchanged. Dorothy also had wolf traits, due to the fact that both of them were werewolves. Aarina grew a set of teal coloured bunny ears as well as three teal coloured, bushy fox tails with blue tips. Arreshi had two large Fennec Fox ears popped up, along with an extremely long Lemur tail, the length pushed the boundaries of what seemed possible. Kanako's bakeneko ears turned into red squirrel ears and her tail turned into an artic rabbit tail. Batibat grew artic fox ears and a gray wolf's tail. Phoebe had two slightly floppy dog ears emerged, along with a stubby but quite fluffy fawn tail.

Since everyone's ready let us go, it's rude to let the guests be late" Smiled the boy and walked through the portal as the rest of the gests followed. Soon they arrived in the steampunk world. Alathoria Kingdom hasn't change much from the last visit. Tall sky buildings reaching the clouds, Victorian like streets filled with strange people and technology beyond ones imagination. Air balloons flying above the city seemed enormous. And although everything seemed fascinating, the city was surrounded by a massive wall, which surprisingly looks like a very old wall from medieval times. Matthal walked down the streets towards the mansion, from time to time greeting other people, who for the Melfar students seemed strangers.

Vogen looked around, feeling as in he was walking through a memory or dream. "This place hasn't changed a bit" He sighed.
"it's so pretty!" Arreshi said softly in awe, looking around at the city. she admired the outfits of everyone, feeling embarrassed that her own wasn't as complex.

"Woah!" Kanako's eyes lit up as they looked around the city

"So this is where Raven-san and Headmistress are from...Wow..." Smiled Phoebe.

"Oh, right!I Heep forgetting Melfara is the headmistress" Sighed Matthal "Who would've thought she's older than me!"

"I wonder how old she is..." Aarina mumbled.

"Not even I know that, though honestly I was thinking why she looks so young" Laughed Vogen.

They walked into the mansion. The first thing they noticed were stairs, many of them and something near them looking like an elevator for a very small vehicle maybe. Matthal guided them to the dining room, it was huge. A long table filled with mechanical little spiders cleaning the dishes from dust and bringing dishes from a room, which they assumed must've been the kitchen. On the left was a massive window with the framing of a gear and a view on the city. Picture frames above the fireplace, showing the family's members and a little of the past. Pictures on the walls with golden frames and elegant vases, on the floor was a little bit of familiar plants such as sunflowers and red roses. The plates had little tag names on them. At the head was Reavor, then on the left Masami and Aluin, on the right Beavara and Pettueve, Arronax. Next came a familiar name Melfara, Raven and the rest were Melfar students names.

"Please take a seat, Raven should be here in a minute"  Said Raven's younger brother and the gests proceeded to sit down where their names were written.

Aarina shyly looked around, still fidgeting with her outfit. Her tails flailed nervously beneath the dress. Following Vogen as example, she took the seat with her name and curiously checked who was sitting next to her. On Aarina's left sat Kanako, then Batibat on her right Melfara and the rest of the family. But they students didn't enjoy their peace for long.

"Don't! You'll bust the engine!!!" Raven's voice was coming from the west, before something resembling the sound of an engine revving filled the house. The gathered guests looked towards the direction the voice was coming from, not sure what was happening. Aarina flinched at the sudden shout, still feeling insecure in this modern world.

"See Alexei!" Laugh. "I got it! It'll be good as new!" Said a strange female voice.

"What the hell is going on?" Finally asked Batibat, thinking that the rest didn't want to be rude.

A woman on a wheelchair entered the room with a smile. "Thank you for coming" She said as she drove towards them. "Excuse us the shouts, it's typical when Joanira appears."

"Crawlers cursed, who is Joanira." Aarina mumbled under her breath, barely loud enough for her two neighbors to hear.

"Oh, she's my husband's father's daughter" Smiled the woman.

"That's rather confusing" Said Ren, noticing that the woman on the wheelchair explained it rather strangely.

"My name is Beavara Ashida-No-Uji, Raven's mother. It's an honour to meet you all"

Another rev on an engine, before something like a small explosion could be heard. Everyone looked shocked and concerned, as that didn't sound like good news. The doors to the left opened and Raven walked in with dirt and petrol all over her Melfar uniform, after her followed black smoke and dust. She coughed a few times.

"Open the goddamn window!" She yelled at her brother, who laughed at her first before doing what she asked for. "Ugh...Stupid old woman, I regret asking her to fix the bike"

"Raven, please behave" Said her mother, but that seemed to have brushed off Raven.

"B-bunny?" Shocked, Aarina looked at her, then at the woman in the wheelchair and back at Raven.

"Alexei!" Said a woman with short violet hair and black fox ears. She walked over to Raven coughing as well.  "I fixed it!"

"Fixed it!? Seriously!? You just gave me more work! I told you it's not ourland machine, it's from Earth! For fu-" She questioned, but quickly reminded herself when she noticed her friends. "Am I that late?"

"You look like mess" Laughed Vogen.

"Are you alright, though?" Asked Ren. "That sounded awful"

"Yeah, yeah. I'm fine, believe me it sounded worse. The only one in pain is my motorbike!" She said turning to her auntie, who sat on the floor and giggled.

"I told you to leave it after the meal" Said Beavara as she crossed her arms.

"Raven, what happened!?" Asked Kanako concerned.
"I think I prefer the 'I told you so' voice than the critical one" She sighed. "It's nothing, I wanted to fix my motorbike, but aunt Joanira messed it up too much."

"Don't waste time, Treasure. Go upstairs and take a shower. Guests are already here" Reminded her, her mother.
Aarina was torn between staying away from Raven and her curiosity. In the end the latter won and she walked up to her. "Why'd she call you Alexei? That is, if I didn't mess up."

"Oh, that" Raven sighed as she brushed back her hair, leaving a black smug. "It's the name of my other personality. Long story, Joanira just doesn't ACCEPT OTHER NAMES" She said louder, while her auntie sat on the floor laughing amused. "Ugh...Don't mind her, she got shot in the head during the war, but you can already tell that. I'll take a shower and be right with you"

"Family" Sighed Vogen.

Raven bowed in order to at least look polite in front of her family, then rushed upstairs. As the girl left the room, a member of the family walked in. An old man, with two kids by his side. A albino girl and a boy with golden hair and black endings. The minute they saw the old man all of the guests felt pretty intimidated by him, they couldn't put a finger on it but he just seemed like some very important in this family.

"Welcome to the Ashida house" Said the old man. "I'm Reavor, the eldest in the family and currently the head of the clan as well. I hope Samusagi's little disturbance didn't make you feel too uncomfortable. My apologizes for the girl, she's a hard animal to tame as we say" Reavor took a seat on the head of the table, taking a closer look at everyone gathered.

Why's there so many people...? Aarina thought to herself and barely managed to stop herself from hiding in the nearest shadowy corner.

Both kids ran to Vogen, as soon as they saw him calling him 'papa'. Vogen smiled towards them and patted their heads as he leaned closer. "Hey, monkeys. Take a seat, we don't want your mother getting into trouble" He smiled as he showed them their seats, which was between him and Raven.

Arreshi shifted in her chair, feeling a tad overwhelmed at all the people, but happy to see that most were...happy. Phoebe remained quiet, taking everything in. She did admit the two little ones were very cute, however, and shot a small smile in their direction and soon two men walked into the room. One with longer hair had something similar to a large deer with wings over his shoulder as the other one held a gun. Both look similar, so it was easy to tell that they were brothers.

"Good hunt" Said Reavor in a serious tone, when he saw the animal, that'll become their feast for tonight. "These are my sons, Pettueve and Aluin, we're still missing the third one who should join us shortly." He turned to the kids. "Children, please manners. Don't let the guests ask your names"

"My name is Akira Ashida-No-Uji and this is my sister Arizuela" Bowed the little boy, but Ari remained quiet and only looked away shy.
"Pleased to meet all of you." Giggled Kanako amused.

"Welcome everyone" Greeted them Pettueve. "I hope the family isn't too intimidating, there's quite a few of us already and yet we're still lacking three people"

"I have a feeling it gets bigger everyday" Laughed Vogen.

"You would've know" Laughed Raven's father, who like his daughters partner. At least he knew his backstory and his personality was open. "I need to throw this in the kitchen, but I'll join you shortly."

The next family members to arrive was Melfara, who walked in with woman and they took a seat greeting everyone. "Everyone, this is my mother Masami" She smiled. "Aluin is my father and the eldest son of Reavor. I hope we all enjoy this meal"

"Please to meet you ma'am" Smiled Ren.

"I see from where Melfara takes her looks" Commented Vogen, trying to act nice. He knew the Ashida's don't fool around with their enemies and since he's their daughter's lover, best to not make them dislike him.

Masami smiled towards the guests. "Thank you, it's nice seeing you again as well Vogen. So everyone how's the academy? I'd like to hear more about my daughter's passion"

"It's...very nice," Fee piped up. "I've only arrived rather recently, but it already feels like home..."

"That's lovely."

As soon as Matthal heard the main doors shut he got up, excused everyone and run towards the sound. Everyone looked at the young Ashida son run in a hurry and were curious to whom had arrived. In the meantime Arizuela was looking around nervously. She coughed a few times, trying to make it sound as quietly as possible. For some reason she didn't want people to hear or notice her.

"Alexei!" She shouted happy from the other room. "I'm happy you like the dress!"

Stop clinging to me!" She said as her voice passed along the wall towards the direction her younger brother previously ran. "Yes, I like the dress, thank you. Also my name is Raven, get it right!"

Hearing Reven's shouts, Reavor sighed and looked at Pettueve, who took a seat. "You should keep your daughter under more control, behaving like that is acceptable when we don't have guests. She needs more discipline."

"My apologizes father, but give her some space. She's been through a lot"

"My husband is right, Reavor." Said Beavara "Seeing her smile is a nice change, let her be wild. For as long she as she has it"

"Well she's not as wild as some of my students" Giggled Melfara. "Dorothy is very energetic, but that's one of her charms"

"Well, the students are very well behaved. I'm honestly positively surprised" Smiled Aluin proud of Melfara's students as well.

"Ren is a master in archery, I can proudly say he's one of the best students in range attacks" Said Melfara turning her head to Ren.

"Really?" Said Pettueve surprised. "Well, one day I'd like to see you challenge my daughter in archery, maybe you'll be able to beat her"

"I'd be glad to train with her" He smiled.

"Aarina is good as stealth attacks." Continued Melfara "Vogen is a good leader, but still needs a little bit of practices. Dorothy is quick on her feet, she usually attacks first. Batibat's scythe skills are worth admiring, Aareshi needs a bit of training but I see potential. Phoebe is new, but I know her training will give astonishing results."

Fee remained seated, politely listening to the conversation while she waited to introduce herself. Suddenly sounds of guns shots and swords were coming from the hallways, with Raven's, and Matthal's shout as well as an unknown man. Everyone quickly became on guard, ready to attack and defend, while the family seemed calm and surprisingly not of guard at all. Aarina visibly tensed up and readied herself to defend herself. The seam of her dress curled up and turned pitch black.

"What the hell!?" Yelled Batibat.

"Please ignore the sounds" Said Reavor politely. "Well, I see everyone is well trained as well. You must be proud Melfara"

"I sincerely am. Each of them has powers and skills that impress me every day, I have nothing bad to say about them. Young, but promising"

Trying to heed his words, Aarina calmed down outwardly. Inwardly she was still prepared to defend herself at any given moment.

"That's not fair!!!" Yelled Matthal. A man with dreadlocks tied into a ponytails walked into the dining room with Raven over his shoulder and her brother under his arm. He was wearing a long black coat and steampunk clothes like the rest, but looked rather dusty or maybe even dirty.

"If you hadn't got in the way, it would've been my win" Sighed Raven as she leaned her head against her right hand.

"Err..." Aarina mumbled, unsure how to act yet again.

"My ears are ringing from the yelling." Said Dorothy covering her ears and shaking her head, hoping the sound would return to normal.

"Oh, here he is. My youngest son, Annorax"

"Oh my..." Fee whispered impressed.

"Or rather the dude that's unbeatable" Sighed Raven, annoyed that once again she didn't managed to beat her uncle. Every year the same.

Ren watches the scene a little bemused, as everyone else. They were unsure of what was going on. Annorax dropped both kids on the ground and greeted everyone. Both siblings shot a glare at their uncle, clearly not impressed by his move. "You should train your kids more, Pett. They're getting sloppy"

Tch!" Raven got up from the floor and tried to attack her uncle once again, who with one move made her land on the floor again. She looked up at him as he pulled his body up. "Ugh...I swear you're getting on my nerves"

"You're drunk again?" Reavor crossed his arms, somehow not amused nor suprised. "You can't hold off one day"

"He's always drunk" Whispered Raven, but loud enough for everyone to hear.

"And you always have last words" He said messing Raven's hair, then taking a seat. Raven followed her uncle and took her seat, fixing her hair in the meantime clearly annoyed with him. She wasn't angry though, Annorax trained her when she was young, she just wants to finally beat him at least once.

"Since everyone's here, let us eat" Smiled Raven's mother as the maids placed dishes on the table. "Tonight me have Riiverth meat, something similar to dear I guess...I think it might be the closest similarity. Please enjoy"

"It smells really nice." Aarina mumbled.

Dorothy seem to perk up at hearing Deer.  "I wonder if they taste like Angelopooulos or Earth Deer."

The smell of the meat is rather nice, making Phobe's mouth water. Everyone thanked for the meal before they began eating. One by one they were praising the cook and really like the strange animal. As everyone enjoyed their meal Ari began coughing again, trying to not make a sound as she was scared of the strangers by the table.  Aarina looked at the girl, wondering what issues she was having. Ren also gave the girl a worried look. She been coughing this whole time and from the sounds of it, it was roughed than a cold.

Raven got up and look at her mother. "Where's her medicine?"

"Top kitchen shelf, Treasure" Said Beavara concerned.

Beavara:  "I'm glad you're enjoying the food" She smiled, as Raven left the room.

Raven left the room heading towards the kitchen, one there she opened the cupboard her mother directed her to and took three bottles, then a tablespoon. She sighed worried. For a minute she was lost in thoughts, before she returned to the dining room. She kneeled down next to her daughter and placed the medicine on the table, the poured the liquid of on the spoon. "Here"

Ari opened her mouth and quickly took the medicine, then trembled a little from the awful taste of it. It was disgusting.  But when Raven poured another spoon, she refused to take it, covering her mouth as she shook her head.. It was ruining the taste of food and she didn't want to eat another horrible meal.

"Come one, last one" Said Raven rather worried, but the little girl moved her head away and Ren's eyes kept darting to the two girls wearily. "Look, I'll take one with you" She said as she drank from the spoon. "See? It's horrible, take it fast and you won't taste it."

"So I'd like to hear about your missions a little" Said Reavor, trying to draw attention away from the little girl. The truth wasn't colourful. "How is it training at Melfar?"

Ari looked down then quickly took her medicine one more, then shaking a little again from the horrible taste. Arreshi stopped eating, watching Raven. She felt a twinge of envy at the sight and hoped Arizuela was alright though. She sighed, as she pushed away her plate. Seeking a distraction from Raven and the children, Aarina swallowed her food and turned to Reavor. "It is quite a nice place. The spiders on the island are very friendly and welcoming, unlike other places I have been to. I have learned a great deal about my capabilities since entering and I do not regret giving up my old life for it."

"Brave girl" Smiled Raven. She grabbed the next two bottles and placed three tablets on her plate. "Don't forgot to take them, Love."

"I must admit, it sounds impressive. How did the academy change each of you?" Asked the head of the clan.

"Well..............let's just said I tried to kill a good amount of the students when I first got there." Giggled Dorothy. "But that was a lifetime ago."

"It gives you life lessons, shows the path they think would be the best for your skills and personality. Melfara is doing a good job, sir." Smiled Vogen.

"I suppose I learned the value of life." Aarina stated after a slight hesitation. "Before I came there, a life was worth as much as someone else was willing to pay for it. That changed at the academy and I have to say that I enjoy this new view on life, Master Reavor."

"I was very distant and shy growing and well..." Said Ti "An incident occurred when I was thirteen due to both students shunning me and problems back home. The academy has helped me come out of my shell and also helped me with self-control"

"And what is are you're special skills as an individual. A skill or ability you're most proud of?" Continued the old man.

"I guess being able to lead people, or having them trust me when during my darkest days" Said Vogen.

"My webs." Aarina stated simply.

"Honestly? My Lycan Blood and Mother's Vyt'Lunarian Heritage." Said Dorothy as she took another piece of meat.

"I'm pretty good with essays, and I'm decently strong." Arreshi said, sipping her water.

"I guess my telekinesis." Stated Batibat.

"I'm proud of my healing magic." Smiled Phoebe "It still has a way to go, just like myself, but I can't say I'm displeased with it... It's allowed me to help a lot of people."

"I'd go for my archery." Said Ren.

"Shape-shifting Can be pretty helpful." Giggled Kanako.

Aarina turned to Vogen and allowed herself a grin. "You're a good leader, but thick-headed like a bull-creeper."

"I'm still leaner to be a better one" He smiled.

Ari yawned and rubbed her eyes, but didn't touch her food on the plate. Raven looks at her mother worried, but Beavara only shook her head making the girl sigh in worrisome.  "I'll take her to her room then"

"Do you want me to do that?" Offered Vogen, hoping to help out Raven.

Raven smiled slightly.  "It's alright, I know the routine it'll be faster" She walked to the little girl. "Ready to go to bed?" Ari rose her hands up waiting for Raven to pick her up. When she lifted the girl, she leaned her head against Raven's shoulder and yawned one more time, while rubbing her eyes. She was clearly tired.

"Is Arizuela alright?" Arreshi asked.

"She's very sick" Said Vogen. "The medicine is costing a fortune now"

"May I inquire what kind of sickness is bothering her?" Aarina asked. "If it is toxin related I might be able to help."

Beavara looked at her husband and sighed, then spoke once Raven left the room. "She's dying" She said in sadness.

The room went silent. Everyone looked at each other, concerned about the little girl. They didn't know her, but they could imagine how her death would change Raven. They didn't want her to live through another tragedy, no one wanted, not her friends and neither her family.

"What disease is it?" Finally asked Ren.

The woman clenched her hands, but finally spoke "It's Accenoma"

"WHAT!?" Vogen yelled as he rose from the chair and slammed his hands against the table. "If it's a joke...It just can't be!"

"Is there any way to heal her!?" Asked Kanako.

"Clam down, boy" Reavor said calmly. "This is no place for such reactions"

"Give him a break, father. The news isn't pretty" Sighed Raven's father. "They haven't found a cure, not even in different worlds."
"Pardon me, but what does that mean?" Asked Pheobe.

"Arizuela's getting weaker, Treasure. Most if not all of her strength and life energy were absorbed by Akira, during pregnancy. She often gets ill, her body is tired from even everyday activities and her albinism also comes from Accenoma."

"There has to be some way, Raven's mum!" Dorothy  gritted her teeth and growls, "A child's Life is precious.  There HAVE to be a Cure!"

Aarina remained unmoved. She'd seen countless children die to illness, preventable or not. She was more interested in the sickness itself than the dying child, yet tried to not let it show considering everyone's reactions.

"There is not cure" Said Annorax. "Children die, it happens. You know where the saying 'One can't live, if the other does' come from? It comes from Accenoma"

"Nature is neither cruel, nor kind. It is indifferent." Aarina softly said.

"This can't be" Vogen leaned back on the chair, brushing back his hair. "How did it come to this? There are many twins in the world"

Arreshi didn't speak, tears rolled down her face, silently. She took deep breathes, trying to calm herself. Raven into the room quickly answering Vogen's question. "But not everyone is a lab born project" She sighed. "It's my fault...my body couldn't handle twins, so it focused on one. It's alright though, I've accepted her fate"

Raven looked at her parents, she heard everything. She didn't know why they did it. Why did they share the information about Arizuela's fate? Even if it was good intentions, Raven wanted to yell at them. False hope, she doesn't need it now. She accepted the consequences of her actions, even if it was really painful for her. Raven's heart was bleeding each time they talked about it.

"You're not at fault, Raven." Said Ren, noticing that the girl began blaming herself once again.

"I wish that were true."

"Your body just did what was necessary for survival...it's primal"

"Primal, I think you mean primitive. It's both my body and my heart's fault, trying to be something more than a weapon...That wish was granted, but at what cost?" She sighed, before Ren could reply Raven turned to Akira. "I'll be right back, Akira. Let's go to bed"
The boy jumped off his seat and walked to his mother. Raven clearly wanted to avoid this topic, so she took her son to bed. Once in his room she sat beside him covering him in a nice cosy blanket. Akira looked at his mother, she was obviously sad and he was too. He leaned towards her and hugged, as that seemed like the proper option to lift her spirit up. Raven tightly wrapped her arms around him embracing the hug for a while.

Once Akira was finally asleep, Raven left the room turning the lights off in the meantime. But she didn't return to others, she wanted some time for herself. She walked down the hallways, towards Arisa's room and opened the doors only to get hit by emotions again. Her eyes widened. Boxes. Boxes. Blood. Arisa's things were packed away, but that wasn't what made her snap. It was the blood. The entire room was covered in blood. Walls dripping with the crimson liquid and a red pool on the floor in which she could see her reflection. The bed sheets turned bloody as well and the pictures on the desk and table were covered in blood. Arisa's eyes were crying crimson tears.

Raven grabbed her head in her hands took a step back, feeling that she'd getting sick. The horrifying scene returned, the memories of Mythran returned. Pain. Agony. Screams. Blood. All this filled her memory, reminding her of the torment she went through. Raven slammed the doors and ran downstairs.

"WHO DID IT!?" She yelled as she sprinted into the room furious. Her back was bleeding pretty terribly, but the girl was too angry to focus on the pain. Suddenly everyone looked at Raven as if she went mental. No one ever saw Raven shout, not even angry. Annoyed very often, but angry to the point where she's shouting was a shock.

"Err... you're bleeding, bunny..." Aarina stated the obvious.

"Fuck the bleeding! I asked a question!"

"What are you talking about, Treasure?" Asked Beavara, pretending that she doesn't know what her daughter just saw.

"DON'T FUCK WITH ME!" She slammed her fist against the nearest furniture. "Why are Arisa's things packed!? Why is her room empty!?"

"It's been almost ten years, we decided to move on. You should too, Arisa's an old wound" Said her grandfather, what only annoyed the girl more.

Ren looked down at his plate sadly, as he felt her rage and sadness wash over him. Taking deep breaths, he tried to calm himself as others tried to calm Raven down, hoping that she'll come to her sences.

"Shut up!" She grabbed her head in her hands "Shut up! Shut up! Shut up! Shut up! SHUT UP!" She yelled. "None of you understand! The room is supposed to wait for her!." Raven was shaking her head as she continued to talk to herself. "No, it's wrong. He...He"

Raven's bend forward and began laughing. "Hihih...How dare you take Arisa away...It's your fault....everyone's!"

"Rave?" Called Vogen.
