...wow, that's actually a pretty depressing concept.

Anyways, I actually had this penciled and scanned before "Iropopov Classic," but the copious amount of time I spent on Smudging and whatnot on the beach sand and the water layers extended the workload. I also employed the funny grass-shaped Brush to Burn a bit of texture into her fur. It's really subtle, but I think it's better than the smooth color and gradient one gets from basic Dodging and Burning.

I've been thinking, the next time I do someone with skin, I need to do random Burning and Dodging with funny-shaped Brushes. Skin is never smooth, I realized.
Or maybe I should learn to use filters. I don't even know if that's what I need. *shrug*

You may not realize it, but there's a layer of water that goes over and forward, simulating the little waves that creep up on the beach. I made a last minute opacity change and it ended up being too clear, but there are few things that let you know it's there. For one, the Smudged refraction effect around her legs and hands in the water, and the small sprays of foam, water, other nasty little particles...

Oh, and just so animejet knows, I Blurred and shaved the lines on this one, but I started work on this one long before I even penciled Iropopov in Classic.
