On which side is the little owl? Seems like he is protecting eggs from the knight, and the knight wants to destroy them... And rats also protect eggs...
And question 2. Where is the light source?
Behind the big rat's back? Then he should drop his shadow over the little owl.
Is it up and right above eggs? Then we should see more details on Rat.
And about the wings. Technically birds have 2 legs and 2 wings. This one obviously has also 2 hands. And that's ok, he is cool evolved species. But if you were a warrior and you had wings - would you really put them in the same sleeves with hands? Why to? It could be a huuuuuge advantage in the fight. Even if they are rudiments, or he can't fly with all this armour, he still could use them to achieve more maneuverability and balance.
And now the wings rather hamper him than helping. They could be accidentally cut when blocking enemie's weapon.

And anyway, your skill is good, and composition is very cool, I like the rhyming of the shield and the passage, and the design of the sword is beautifull!
