Description Second in the Thundarr experiment. Again, not a terribly dynamic redesign, but a step in some sort of direction. I know most barbarians don't concern themselves overly much with pants, but I like them, so my Thundarr has them. Also, no bowlcuts. Just no.

Did I mention I'm having a lot of fun with my iPad and Sketchbook Pro? 'Cause I am. My finger is starting to develop a blister, though. Time for a stylus, soon.

I like your designs for clothes for these characters way better than what they wear in cannon because those clothes belong strip club. Especially Thundarr's outfit WTF.

LOL! Yeah... I always wonder at peoples who spend a lot of time on horses who don't wear pants. Of course, they all rode bare-back so there probably wasn't as much chaffing.

But still!

And thank you!

As far as the chaffing goes, I would think that there would be more, way more. As A kid I used to draw this really punked out
version of Thundarr where the three main characters would dress in military clothes and I had Thundarr in ripped
up camo overalls.

I was going to ask you to post it, but I just found it. It was great! I love the way you handled Ookla's face, and the camo look works for the guys. Ariel's outfit was cute, as well.

Thanks so much.   I feel like the camo is more post apocalyptic.   Thundarr's cannon outfit looks copied from Conan and He-man's outfit looks copied from Thundarr. Ariel's cannon outfit looks copied from Wonder Woman. Most cyber punk styles have these really crazy hair extensions and I was afraid that I toned it down too much.

It's not that I don't like Conan. I love Conan and I've read every Conan book in existence. It's just that Thundarr doesn't have to be a Conan rip off. He's got his own thing going on. However, I can't stand He-Man. He annoys me way too much  .

Ha! I'm not sure exactly what the draw is, but my brother adores He-Man. I think he's just a big fan of the character designs.

But, yeah, the cartoons weren't much in the way of thought-provoking from my point of view, but I kinda liked the story they had going with the comics that came with the figures. And the original art... it was pretty darned neat.

That's cool. He-Man was the most popular. Maybe it's the hipster side of me
that scorns extreme popularity and instead prefers things that are more
indy.
