Description

As you can see, this has been in the undisclosed folder for a while now xDDDDDDD So, my friend UmiJenova (on Twitter) has this NPC on her DnD campaign which died and ascended to Messenger of the Raven Queen (his soul ascended, his body was left where they buried him). This fellow's name is Thamior. Thamior got into trouble with a deity of death and decay. Thamior also got into trouble with a fiend who happened to befriend the aforementioned deity. And now Thamior's corpse has been... well... repurposed, so to speak, and its new purpose is to fuck shit up xDDDDDD

I decided to draw how the reanimated body looks like for when the players would encounter it, and yesterday one of the PCs saw it. So here it is, finally disclosed!!! I had a lot of fun with this design, although searching for references of a exactly 2-months decaying corpse was certainly difficult. Not because of the references themselves, I can stomach that. But searching for corpse images gave mainly two kind of results: fresh bodies, and skeletons. And I needed the fucking in-between, not that, damnit!!! But yeah, in the end I'm pretty happy about the result (save for the left hand, because it's probably backwards, but I realized that after inking so it stayed like that). It looks as disgusting and creepy as I wanted it to look, and it's soooo full of details that speak of what happened to the character and to the body if you know the campaign's lore.
