Fanart for one of my favorite artists ever on dA, Shinerai.
I love his character designs, anatomy, coloring...everything. He just really seems to stand out as a dragon artist.
It was tough coming up with a color scheme... I was going to do tropical or ice, but I figured I rarely work with orange, so I'd go with a fire theme.
He reminds me of Nailmus. o-o Oops. xD

i'm REALLY excited to see someone work with a different color theme than shin's normal appearance!! i just LOVe it!! XD omfg you shaded the fur sooo beautifully. i wish i could do lineless art like this. i love his mouth, and his eye, and his beautiful feather crest. i just adore his black face. it looks beautiful on him. orange is my favourite color, so i could never un-like this ;;

I think I remember you saying somewhere that you never see people draw him in his not-traditional colors, so that's why I did. :3 I'm really glad you like it, I might want to draw Nailmus sometime. <3

OH MY GOD Taaaay this looks kickass! ;-; All of the friggin' detail on the fluff and the feathers and the FACE omggggggg. He certaintly looks very fiery and the colouring is beautiful! Shin will love this, amazing job. <3
