definitely liking the concept of this little monster, from what i heard............... not sure about her design. one part of her thing is luring foals and stallions. she looks too freaky outright to do so outright.

Her primary lure is her voice, which doesn't require ponies to actually see her. And most victims who are lured by her voice are usually the ones that are also lonely and desperately in need of company, which she will gladly provide.Β Once her victim is past the front gates of her park she slams it shut keeping them from getting out. Cat can't leave the boundaries of her haunting ground so she needs to send her minion Sludge out to act as a spokespony. And let's be honest, the ponies of Equestria seem to be perpetually bored enough to follow anyone they find interesting. Just look at what happened when Mare-Do-Well showed up.

basically at first glance she would be 'beautiful' but when she opens her eyse, when she speaks, your attention is drawn to the contrast, forced to focus on those unnerving features. contrast of the beauty she held in life with the distorted features she gained when she became this.

........i partially agree that her design needs a bit more work. i like her stark yellow beetlejuice type teeth, and assmetrical eyes. yet the coloration of her coat kinda just makes it all blend.
perhaqps if her coat was white, or kinda grayish white like raven from teen titans img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20β¦ . it is an 'attractive' color but more important creates a strak contrast to her alarming eyes and teeth. draws your attention to them. as is her dress is more eye catching and distracts from those unnerving eyes.

I was originally aiming more for a human skin tone with this picture but I couldn't get the right amount of "Peach" into her coat. One reason I did use the colors I ended up using was to help her stand out Β against the dark colors of her amusement park. It was also an attempt to get away from the other villain OCs that were all dark colors and kinda sorta hard to distinguish from each other.

hmm true, true. red and black alicorns ARE a trope for a reason. a whitish color would not be quite so dark, and would, as I said, put more emphasis on her more disturbing features. it is easy just to focus on her face as a whole as she is. if her face contrasted her red and yellow eyes, they would stand out more, and you want people to look at those unnerving orbs.
also it would give characters who encounter her a shock value. at first glance she is an eccentricly dressed yet attractive earth mare, but as you focus on her face your gaze is drawn to her eyes, signs that she might not be all together in the head.
though admitably her eye color is rather like discord's to begin with.

Cat is an odd OC in the fandom. I've seen several alternate designs for her created by fans of the song. From different coat colors, to different clothing, to even completely different character designs altogether! I haven't seen any other OC receive that kind of treatment. If there a few common things they mostly share it's her eyes, Cutie Mark, and her bat winged hairbow.

guess its because it is black and white, leaves a lot to the imagination. personally i like the fangs i see around the end of the song a bit better than the beetlejuice teeth. it shows her getting more agitated and feral, and fangs have been a staple of dark magic in equestria.

..........they have festivals rather often i would think. and seeing something as clearly demonic as sludge...... well only a fool would follow that thing.
also mare-do-well popped up and started saving people. a amorphic shadow demon is not exactly giong to attract customers as easily.
shrugs. nto everyone in equestria can be brainwashed, even by her siren voice. and even as she is it does not mean she cannot be harmed if someone broke free or got wise. an earth pony for example could really, really cause mayhem for her carnival i think.
just thinking something a bit more aesthetically pleasing, if still offsetting, though when she gets stressed or excited she gets this more beetle juice like visage.

Don't forget about Sludge hanging off the back of the boat. Actually, Sludge is only there to provide the "liquid" the boat is traveling on. So don't worry about her coming onto Big Macintosh (she's more interested in Rainbow Dash).

Carnival Cat reminds me of Beetlejuice. Must be the teeth, the striped outfit, and the spider web cutie mark.
