My guess for TB's wings is that the designers wanted a unique and easily identifiable silhouette. I suppose they wanted the blade-like feathers to go with his name, but they won't be very visible in the usual dota2 top down view, so they made them point up instead.
I like his design though, it's a nice deviation from his original Illidan model. Different enough, but you can still see the similarities.

Is it just me or does it seem like there are lot of details missing in this one, compared to the "original"?Β
For example, the mirroring part with his metamorphosis is missing those sparkly dots and some details in his chest and the horns have also lost something, plus the "doppelganger" isn't in the background...
It's kind of a pity, that this wallpaper is reduced to an earlier stage of this really nice piece of Art!

Β Very nice. I must say, i am not overly fond of Terrorblade's design. I wish it had some more similarities to his wc3 self, i don't think the armored skin looks all that well. Personal opinion ofcourse. The reverse wings kind of bother me too :/
