Welcome! I think the culture behind the English longbow is absolutely fascinating... it reminds me of the Japanese naginata a little (well, that's a polearm). So cool you're stepping in history!

It is, I'm all into historic archery actually. Even if my longbow wasn't the most historic in the market currently, meaning it has an arrow rest and a pistol grip. But that's just my first bow, it's a start. And I so want to get a good horse bow, as well as a historic longbow. That shooting on the hand kind of interests. I've only once tried it with a horse bow shooting three arrows, nice bows those even if wobbly.

Shooting arrows accurately from horseback sounds like a really, REALLY difficult thing to accomplish. I've fired those bows they give you at summer camp, (with the bright fletching), and it doesn't sound quite as challenging!
