Needless to say, I WAS NOT very happy with Rattrap's character design in the Beast Machines universe. [link] It was fugly, and that makes me a sad panda.This was made for the March art challenge down at the All Spark forums.
You had to take some sort of Transformers universe and mix it with another completely different universe.
And so, Jet Set Radio Future Rattrap was born... that, and I've wanted to draw him this way for a while. I'm sick of seeing him so damn short. In this form, he'd still be the shortest, but at least he wouldn't be down to Botanica's "knees"... he's more, neck level now.

And when you think about it, what better two things to mix than JSRF and BM... I mean come on!
Fight the power! Somebody give those crazy kids some spray paint!
For some reason, this is really huge and Iām really lazy. So, if you want a super detail shot, then you can download it to your computer with that little download button thingy.

I rescanned and fixed the color levels. This is a bit closer to how it's actually colored. The other one was way too light.

Bwa!! Rattrap was my favorite character in BW.
I agree, entirely, with how bad they made him look in BM, it was so bad!

That was a good one, but I think my favorite was when he was talking to Silverbolt, after he was out with Blackaracnia, before she joined them.

Yeah, this design is a lot better than how he looked in Beast Machines.
To be honest out of all of his forms, I liked his Transmetal form the best.

I love Rattrap's new look. I did draw a pictureof Rattrap in the style of Final Fantasy a long time ago sometime in 2005, but this takes the cake. I like BM,so a lot of my TF OCs are of that show. I really like this, and the roller skates! The roller skates are the awesomenest, way better than Meg's TM roller skates (wth did he even need skates for?!?).

I like "short" Rattrap because I liked to think of him as the equivalent of a G1 minibot. 
Again, I like the stylized look!

Yeah, I suppose... but the whole height issue on top of the fact he didn't have the "kick ass-ness"he had during the beast wars just made him feel more worthless. And fricking Cheetor and Nightscream can go to hell as far as I'm concerned... OOOO, I was pissed!

I never really got into Beast Machines ( I was a Beast Wars homeboy, though) but this looks friggin' awesome! Way awesomer than BM's Rattrap.

Eeek! We're both doing BM stuff for this month's challenge!!! Well, that is, if I can get my butt in gear and actually work on my drawing during break next week. LOL. I'm not familiar with the what the crossover is but it's a sweet drawing. It's wonderful to see Rattrap still gettin' the luv.

LOL, Nightscream looked like Michel Jackson! I hated that stupid punk.

No, that's totally cool. Nightscream was and is the TF character I most want to slap. ^_^
As weird as it was I do give BM mad props for trying something new, both story-wise and in visual style. And I personally love Botanica and Blackarachnia's designs. Hasbro still owes me a Botanica figure. Complete with a voice chip with that awesome accent.

Yeah, the animation was so choice! I just was a little unhappy with more than one character design. *coughSilverboltcough* excuse me....
Anyway, I totally had a Blackarachia figure... but then my (here we go) Dad's, girlfriend's youngest daughter, broke it. I was all like, WTF? So felt left out because me and her brothers like to play with the giant robots, and she was the girly girl.
Also, did anyone else think that Jetstorm sounded like a game show host?
