Description When I was a little girl and went to my first circus I can remember feeling like there was a dark side to the performers and most of the clowns were pretty frightening to me. I guess that is where this comes from.

All that glitters is facade
hiding darkness underneath
whispered screams
from nightmares past
looking for their path to flight...

For in a sea of tears we drowned
carried by emotions waves
looking for a light to guide
but clinging to a past
that drags us further underneath

trapped in circles of our making
puppets dancing... hidden strings
distorted mirrors twisting soul
aided by the twisting smoke
perfection seen by other eyes

-note- :Version two: much improved-

spotted the ever so slight lingustic error after posting... hope you like this (even if it is a bit dark(ish)
