Description This was an intense scene. Though I thought it was a little too much Percabeth in this book. I love them, but their relationship somehow lost a bit character in this book...? Like they were a smudge too mushy.

I have other thoughts on this book. They were having the worst trip in their lives, it's obvious that they'd be there for each other - they needed to feel someone else's prescence, and loving each other so much it's only natural they'd try to stay close. I respect your opinion of course
Art is stunning, keep up your good work~!

Yeah, understand that of course, and I totally respect your opinion too, but tbh the Tartarus trip was not as bad as I thought it would be. It wasn't haunting, and they'll probably not even have nightmares or anything. The only thing I liked in Tartarus was when they got cursed, and when Percy manipulated the poison - because that was creepy, and it got into their heads, Percy became slightly evil there for a little little while. I mean - it's the absolute worst part of hell, and they got sleep, food, a friend, and even a little pet. What made it worse was that we got so terribly much of it. Every second chaptergroup was theirs. Piper only got four chapters while Percy and Annabeth got like fifteen each. It would have been better if those many may chapters were filled with something exciting and scary (I know it's a children's book, but if this was Harry Potter, HoH would only be like The Prisoner of Azkaban in scariness level, where the first is the least scariest and the last is the scariest - children can actually handle more, and we know Rick can write that because he came up with the curses and Percy's character change), but instead they were filled with cuddly Percabeth scenes.
Thanks so much!!

I didn't feel that cuddling at all, maybe because I read so much fluff But I get that you might been unsatisfied. The other thing is that I don't really like Piper and Jason in their storytelling, so I didn't miss it that much (prefer Percy's rambling ). Though you're right, they should have a lot more of attention, because compared to Percy and Annabeth, they indeed were overlooked (and they ARE main characters, even if not my favourite).
No problem at all!

agh yes i am glad jason and piper got the book time they deserved in BoO, and let percy and annabeth step back a bit , which was just as well because in the entirety of HoO, their characters were just flattened out and mushed together into the drab that is percabeth. i've become so incredibly critical of rick's writing after reading boo, and i think it's sad that he made such bad choices with such good characters with great potential.

I'm almost mad at him. Whole Solangelo deal is creepy and bad, Caleo as well. Percy and Annabeth though played much too small role, after all they were ones of the seven and everything they did was waking up Gaia with nosebleed... no comment. I loved Reyna and Nico though.

i very much agree with you!! solangelo and caleo are both forced in my opinion because rick felt the need to have romantic partners for leo and nico. ugh.
and percy and annabeth.... their personalities were almost parodies of themselves in BoO, their writing was awful, the few times they were featured. i'm not complaining that they had too little book time because they had SO MUCH in hoh, but still, the writing could have been 193802 times better.
and yeah, let's not talk about the nosebleed. Title BLOOD of olympus?
i loved reyna and piper!!

He could've did the ending more open, people would love it. At least in comparison. And he wouldn't have to do Nico and Leo so OOC.
I know they did have more time before, but they were only mentioned here. They deserved at least a chapter. But so did Hazel and Frank. And the writting was bad, and they were OOC as well. This book was too focused on Leo and Calypso IMHO. Jason and Piper were okay, but Leo was too much.
It should've been "NOSEBLEED of Olympus".
I loved Reyna in all her being. XD

I know :/ Like, I love Percabeth, but those two seem pretty secluded from the others.

IKR! this scene was intense, not as bad as the horrible cliffhanger in MOA, but close.
