Description
As we learned from the great Franco Saudelli's "The Blonde: Phoebus III" series, there is one surefire way to defeat a telepath: tickle her feet! Unable to concentrate enough to use their telepathy, Emma and Jean can only laugh much to their captors amusement. I think it should be obvious who that captor is
This was a fun one to do; working with the older Emma and younger Jean was an interesting contrast. I also wanted to have some fun with the "expressions" their feet show.

You must really like Jean a lot. She brings out the best in your faces. You did a good job on Emma, too, but Jean is really pretty here. Great expressions, too.Β
When I first saw the pic, I was a little worried about the forks poking those pretty feet. Gorgeous feet like that should only be treated nicely. I guess that Magneto knows how to use his powers for a gentle tickle touch, but he's missing the fun not using his hands. I especially like the nice French petti on Emma.Β
You know, since you and Firefox were discussing the hair colors....I normally tend to be attracted to brunettes in real life and most of the celebrities I find beautiful are brunettes...so I'm actually a bit surprised that so many of my favorite female comics characters are redheads, including my top 2.
I do appreciate that you feature all different types of females (blondes and brunettes as well as redheads) on your artwork and vary it up. If I had your talent, I'll admit my running theme would probably just be "Batgirl foot queen of the multiverse" with different women worshipping her feet. I don't think I would have near as much variety as you do and I enjoy your variety.

Well, I got the idea from your Batgirl/Ivy picture...At first, I thought I wanted to see the reverse with Ivy worshipping Batgirl...but that look you had on Ivy's face made me think. Ivy looks positively spellbound. What if Batgirl's feet were her super power? Her feet are just gorgeous that no other lady, no matter how powerful, can resist. That made me think that while Batgirl can enjoy another girl's feet, the other girl should just be more into Batgirl than vice versa. I blame you for this.Β Β

In case you were curious, My DC faves are 1) Batgirl 2) Poison Ivy 3) Catwoman and 4) Wonder Woman. My favorite Marvels are 1) MJ (I don't know why since she isn't a super character, but I've always liked her.) 2) She Hulk 3) Storm and 4) Black Cat (even though she is really just a Catwoman clone).

Your work has created a real-life fascination for redheads in me. It goes well beyond this little slice o' my life and carries over to my people-watching and perpetual appetite for fairer company. Though it's not like my taste in blondes is going anywhere with gorgeous bodies like Emma's floating around. And what a lovely pedicure! Neutral clear with nails buffed to a high gloss and a french tip! Only the best for such a poised Brit like Ms Frost!Β

Be cautious! They are typically Irish and those lasses, while often tall and beautiful, are feistier n' all hell. (Incidentally, Irish girls are kinda notorious for large feet similar in shape and quality to the ones you draw).
LOL, the human condition. But I just noticed it on my second take and I was VERY impressed. It's like a quip-style joke; how do you say the most you can while saying the least you can? And that's what we have here. Just drawing the features of the face at the perfect angles and ratios while adding just that one little line defining some more of the cheek bone, and boom. You have a Charlize Theron opposite your Bryce Howard. Magnifique!

Nothing wrong with ladies having larger feet; more for tickling
I've been told the secret with drawing women is each line drawn on their face adds a year. Hence aunt May is ANCIENT! I had to use more lines on Emma's face and leave Jean's as "uncluttered" as possible. It seems like it worked!

And the tendency for women to be sheepish about it presents an awesome opportunity to defy her expectations and make her feel more confident by complimenting them.
I actually put that philosophy into practice this morning (granted, I'm not drawing a conventional woman...) but you'll see what I mean later on when I post it!Β
It's very true! The challenge for us as tickle artists, seeing as we need to draw these energetic reactions, is forging lines that have a clear presence without aging the character. It was easy when I drew Mrs Claus but Sgt Rivera was another story. And I'm CRAZY for the type of smile I gave the latter

Yeah, when drawing girls laughing it up, we actually have to forsake lines on the face which really "should" be there, but it ages them to include them. I've found I have to leave it all up to their mouth and eyes to express the forced laughter look and/or feelings of desperation. The laugh lines almost always have to go, otherwise a viewers mind says "she's middle aged" or even "elderly". I admit I struggled with it for a while until I realized that less is better; focus on the eyes and mouth. It may not work for everyone, but it seems to work for me.
Also, I love when a lady feels uncomfortable about her feet because they are larger than a size 6 and when you say they have attractive feet, they get that embarrassed look. They like the compliment but feel silly that someone called attention to their supposed big feet. (Seriously, size 7 or 8 is big? Really?) It's like, if you don't want me to notice them, don't be barefoot around me then. Not my fault! I have one friend of mine in mind in particular who is guilty of this. LOL
