Simply amazing. The composition is superb. Nothing in this is centered; an amazing feat (especially if you took the photo all by yourself). While centering is by no means a bad thing, it is something to be used as a technique and not a rule. Too many people don't understand technique. You clearly understand technique.
Your use of lighting is eye-catching. It is even stronger than black and white photography. B&W is eye-catching because it lacks color. Your work is catching because it lacks even more - making it stronger. Very little detail exists. This is its strength. It forces the eye into the very heart of the message.
Its message is clearly the woman chastising the cat for its actions prior to the shot. While this message would not have been lost in color or B&W; this way of presenting it simply places it in such a way that it holds the viewer; not allowing the eyes to wander.
Yet it still has detail enough to keep the photo interesting for when the eyes to inevitably wander. Silhouettes are fine and dandy, but bore quickly. The detail in the curtains add beauty to the photo. The yellow creates vibrant and sharp contrast to the black. This photo, on the contrary, maintains its beautiful interest.
I am impressed by how it looks as if the cat is actually feeling guilt over its actions. There is little need for detail here as the body language says it all.

First of all, I absolutely adore this photo. I have not seen a photo like this in a while, so I believe that it is original. Another reason why it is original, is I have never seen a photo like this before, and I have seen a lot of photos.
The first thing that captured my attention to this photo is the details. The details are very simple, but dramatic. You seem to be drawn to what is not showed in this photo. I love that the main focus in this photo is the woman and the cat, and yet they are enclosed in a shadow, but it has a very dramatic look.
I love the background in this photo. It is simple, yet subtle. This photo is so simple, so elegant, but has a very huge impact.

The silhouette of the woman and cat gives it a relate-able feel by keeping both subjects fairly anonymous except for gender and species but any cat owner can relate to scolding their cat. And no matter what your cat looks like they are adorable and hard to yell at due to their cuteness. Makes for more of a self applicable concept to the image. Keeps it simple and I think more effective and to the point of what the over all intention is with the image
