After finally absorbing enough gems, Void holds a form of her own, rather than borrowing / stealing the forms of others.
The sadistic Void enjoys spreading pain and terror to those she comes in contact with, this is most prevalent to Steven and The Crystal Gems, whom Void has specifically targeted for her torment. Lashing out at anyone who she deems too happy, this cruel abomination of a gem hides behind a wall of malice and chaos to disorient others to how she truly feels.

When she first entered into this universe, as an artificial gemstone with an incomplete template, Void feels nothing but piercing pain for her entire existence, rather than shatter herself, Void believed that she had a right to exist and vowed to find away to end the pain. Being trapped in her gemstone for over 6000 years almost made her accustom to the pain. When she had a chance to escape, she chose Steven and The Crystal Gems as her target, only because she is jealous of them. Seeing their happy and loving family, with people that support them was something Void didn't think she could have, so she didn't want anyone else to have that, she wanted everyone to feel her pain.

Moving away from her desire for chaos, Void thought that if she could absorb her creators (The Diamonds), she'll become whole, and her pain would cease, using Steven and the others would be her best possible way to get to the Diamonds, or at the very least draw them out to her. The desperate belief that her creators will end her pain is something Void will go to any length to achieve, no matter how many lives are destroyed in the process...
