Just a minor comment while browsing through - shouldn't the tower which is further away have some kind of atmospheric effect to it? (i.e. slight colour from the air which is in between it and the viewer, a kind of misting/colour change)

in regards to the glow brush (or photoshop equivalent)
its super addicting, everything you do with it looks amazing, trust me, i've been down that path! but like the lens flare, the glow brush is a cruel mistress!
gathering the massive amount i have learned over the course of doing the damn wagon, i have a few suggestions!
take out most, if not all of the embers, or, just leave in the ones in the foreground. right now since they are all the same size, they really pull everything together
as for more texture, i don't know what is analogous to the just add water blender from painter, but try roughing up the background a bit, and knock out a bit of the detail, clarity and contrast as things get farther off!
a week ago i would have had nothing to offer in critique, but i've grinded so much in regards to environments i really have a new perspective on things ^_^
sorry to be only a downer, just wanting to help you with what i've been struggling through!

Hmm maybe my metal muffin could be some kind of mighty weapon that the adventurer could weild in the next chapter? Love the picture by the way, are the rocks acting as like electrical pylons? cos of the wires?
