thanks the pose was pretty easy to get dynamic too, drew a basic shape in sideview then distorted it with perspective and added details from there

Do you think about how a character would be modelled in the concept stage or do you just paint first then think about modelling when it comes to it?

You're pretty awesome at lighting now; over the last year I've noticed that's what's improved most. Your characters really seem to fit into the environment with the ambient light.
