Description First discovered on ancient star maps hidden away within pre-historic libraries, the Uraeus solar system is more than many tens of light years away, containing a total of 12 planets, two of which can support intelligent life.

Along with maps to this system, other ancient star maps have shown points of interest near Orion's Belt, Sirius B, Alpha Centauri, and Zeta Reticuli. Ethonia was the first habitable Earth-like planet to be found while searching these stars and systems. Because of this, the Uraeus system became the first to be thoroughly investigated with many robotic drones, eventually leading to a manned exploration team.

: A Tour of the Planets
Below are all the planets in the solar system, listed from the closet to the furthest of the sun.
All planets are provided with their original Ethonian name, and their english translation.

Name: Lio
Translation: Rock
Classification: Terrestrial planet
Satellites: 0
Notes:
Lio is covered with highly reflective clouds of sulfuric acid. Its atmosphere is comprised of mostly carbon dioxide and nitrogen.

Name: Keyachai
Translation: Fire / Flame
Classification: Terrestrial planet
Satellites: 1
Notes:
Keyachai has hundreds of volcanoes, some over 150 km across. Seen as a glowing red dot in the night's sky, the Akeshi were the first to observe its volcanic plumes and lava flows.

Name: Archanai
Translation: Rebirth
Classification: Terrestrial planet
Satellites: 7
Notes:
A planet once inhabited by intelligent beings, who had almost killed their planet by destroying its atmosphere through their ignorant actions. It is said that ancient space-faring pioneers had tried to help the dying planet by restoring its atmosphere. Unfortunately, their help came too late and none of the indigenous, intelligent life survived. After many centuries, the planet now has a restored atmosphere. It even contains elements which can slow down the aging and degenerating processes in organic life.
The planet is currently under close examination, with only a few human and Ethonian research colonies.
(For more info, visit the Archanai page )

Name: Ethonia
Translation: Origin
Classification: Terrestrial planet
Satellites: 2 (Thamu, Jarente)
Notes:
Called "Ethoniaca" by the indigenous population, Ethonia is home to the Akeshi and Ethonians.
(For more info, visit the Ethonia page )

Name: Shaba
Translation: Water
Classification: Terrestrial planet
Satellites: 53
Notes:
Underneath islands of large ice, is a vast world of oceans, filled with sea life of all shapes and sizes. Surveillance satellites have discovered creatures there, with the size of up to three times that of Earth's largest underwater animals. Research colonies have only just begun to examine the planet up close.

Name: Unas
Translation: Death
Classification: Former Gas Giant
Satellites: 0
Notes:
Once a gas giant, Unas could dwarf Jupiter, being second only to Eyut in size. The planet imploded before intelligent life roamed Ethonia, and even before Archanai nearly lost its atmosphere. The glow of its demise has faded away, leaving behind a rocky core, and a field of debris.

Name: Eyut
Translation: Giant
Classification: Gas Giant
Satellites: 348
Notes:
Eyut could easily dwarf our Jupiter in size. The planet is mostly comprised of hydrogen and helium, with a core mixed with various elements.
Orbiting the planet are multiple rings, consisting of countless small particles or ice, rock, water and dust. Due to a recent collision between two moons, larger debris can be observed near the outer rings of the planet.

Name: I'achatti
Translation: Gas, Smoke
Classification: Gas Giant
Satellites: 67
Notes:
Easily mistaken as Jupiter's twin sister, I'Achatti has a very intense magnetic field, with many clearly visible polar auroras. The Akeshi believe one of the moons may harbor intelligent life, however the humans have yet to find any evidence of this. The Akeshi also believe that the planet's strong magnetic auroras may not be entirely natural.

Name: Saka' Shiba
Translation: Ice
Classification: Ice Giant
Satellites:21
Notes:
"Shiba" is a planet made primarily of various ices, such as water, ammonia, and methane. It has multiple rings, with the outer most being the most visible.

Name: Chaikela
Translation: Freeze
Classification: Ice Giant
Satellites: 2
Notes:
Similar to Saka' Shiba, this planet is also mostly comprised of ices and rock, with an atmosphere consisting mostly of ammonia and methane.

Name: Inasa
Translation: Pearl
Classification: Dwarf Planet
Satellites: 1
Notes:
As a sparkly white pearl in the night's sky, Inasa is a planet covered in ice. Many geysers can be found ejecting liquid nitrogen.

Name: Anasaek
Translation: Poison
Classification: Dwarf Planet
Satellites: 3
Notes:
A freezing ice planet with geysers and volcanoes spewing forth various chemicals, attributing to it its green hue.

Name: Lanos
Translation: Something which is smashed or beaten
Classification: Dwarf Planet
Satellites: 5
Notes:
Lanos has many volcanoes that are believed to errupt liquid nitrogen, or methane. The planet is covered with multiple impact craters, some hundreds of kilometers in diameter. Although the planet is shaped as an oblate spheroid, (diameter across its equator is longer than the diameter between its poles), this attribute cannot be seen with the naked eye.
