This is the watercolored version of the lines here:



I had an idea to keep this murky, or however you'd describe green and blue. Swampy? xD

I suppose I was too lazy with the top part, since you can't really tell it's supposed to be attached to a cave's roof, but I am pretty happy with it. c:

Thanks! Quite honestly, I don't know what it is either. I think that this painting has the colors I like most, as well.

By ink washes, did you mean with pure black ink or with colored pigment? I've been really inspired by Alex Pardee lately.

both black and colored. Dr. Martin's ( i think that is the brand I use...) has really nice colored inks.. And yes, Pardee time is the best time. (oh art puns, how I love them.)

oh my friend, it is. I have a new project in the works and i am using primarily that ink and some water color and marker. I'll post it when it it is finished.

Do the drips make this more appealing? Yes, yes it does! Looks great in watercolor. Or, squishy.

I actually held the paper vertically and used a lot of extra water to make the dripping effect!
