Ah! What color >.o; But yes, I was *finally* getting around to reading all the Naruto scanlations on my computer, but I had to stop for fanart.Seriously, Ino + Sakura just makes me so warm and fuzzy all around. ;.; It's funny, shounen-ai, shoujo-ai--I'm just a huge anykindof-ai fan. ;.; Aww. Anyway, I thought the rough skech was pretty good, but Ino looks kinda off. >.o And I colored it, and I thought the half-assed background was kinda pretty, and I was originally gonna upload it with a different outline--it looked like shit, so I ran it through some filters (double layer, blurr the bottom, overlay or darken or something, etc etc) and now it is not ugly and is maybe even cute.
And yeah, I know, Ino's hand is gross
!And their bodies. Saku looks fat, but she's not! Her clothes are just unflattering ALL THE TIME and she needs to do something about that.

Yeah, Ino....doesn't look Ino-ish. Her "signature strand of hair" isn't really that long, it just reaches her mouth. And she only has 'one bunched up strand of hair', the rest are tied in her ponytail. But eh, you're the artist.
And it should've been vice versa. The background blurred, not the foreground. My eyes are focused on the background on first glance. Not saying the background is bad, it's quite creative actually (the edges just need to be a bit "softer"). But it kinda emphasizes the background more than Ino and Sakura.

Eh, I was going from one of the manga covers on her hair.
And I was trying (and failed) to make it look messy--bits falling out of the ponytail after she cuts it, etc, because I sort of had a 'post-battle scene' in mind, even though they were technically unconscious. x.o;
And yeah, I was thinking about softening the background a bit, but it was late and I was pretty much done with it. Thank you for pointing that out, though.
Um, yeah, I read right up to chapter... 72 >.<; I get sidetracked too easily. My art would be better if I could stay focused, and I'd get more done. Geh. I'm caught up in the anime, though, if that's any consolation whatsoever...

I think you kinda got the hair look down. The whole split endz look. I really like how you did the hair actually, dunno why, but that's the bit I like the most.
Oh and when I said to soften the background, I meant just the star-shaped shapes.
