Very nice use of the light source; the fact that it shines on the structure's 'back' gives its facade a sinister, foreboding look as it towers of the figures, which also gives the image an excellent sense of scale. The jumbled textures on the masses, from rough to smooth to grainy to stringy, adds a sense of depth and a sinister, evil and mysterious feel to the image. Awesome work on the lines coming out of the masses as well, as it they were sending signals to the sky, and only gives them the feeling of leading to something bigger, perhaps a deity, which is even more foreboding. Ah yes, and of course the greyscale colour scheme gives the impression that this image was captured on some sort of a hand-held old camera when travelers stumbled across something monstrous in an alien world before being eaten alive. This is some really awesome work, good job!

I imagine that this is a microscopic view of PAM cooking spray.
