Chronologically follow up to THIS picture.

It gave me a hard time to decide which deadly sin from the series this would be, but I picked sloth in the end.

When the overwhelming pain became too much for the Mage and the flowers retreated to their proper place, he finally collapsed. (How uncool for him!)

Doll gathered her courage and brought him back to their cottage to treat his wounds. (Yes, the flowers leave open not healing wounds once they come out to eat.) He woke up soon, but much to Dolls surprise he didn't do anything. He became apathetic.

I think his psychic suffered a large shock from the recent happenings. So he is sort of blocking himself away, which also partially works as punishment for Doll. Rejection and ignorance are probably the most terrible ways to harm someone. (And both are also Doll's greatest fear, since her parents sold her away.)

Doll is midway wanting to go back to the world they knew/shared and anxious about the fact it could never be the same. And I cant think of Mage's current state different as sort of "growing up" (the word "puberty" would be a little strange).

One moment he was the Lord of the House and world and the other reawakened trapped in her imaginary world, not able to defeat her after all. Mister "flawless in everything" discovered his flaws on the first hand and the most painful way (for both of his body and ego.)
His reaction is then resembling a sulking boy, not willing to play the game anymore.

This night its a very awkward mood in their cottage.
