Description
This went from inspiration to finish in about 12 hours. I guess my muse has been passed out drunk somewhere the rest of the year. Happy Holidays!(I swear that the relationship of unstirring mice to Christmas didn't occur to me until I was already finished.)

Nice treatment of the metal in the foreground. Love the soft texture of the fur, and the subtle patterning of her blanket. I would probably soften the sharp shadow edges on the blanket beneath the book, and perhaps lower its contrast. Similarly, from that point back in the image I would soften edges and drop contrast. It could stay saturated, but softening the edges will help push the background farther away, leaving the viewer to lavish attention on our sleeping subject. Interestingly, the candles in the foreground do this nicely in miniature. I really like the bounce lighting on the far side of the sleeping figure - another nice, subtle touch that really helps sell the scene. Merry Christmas!
